Most Stable/Fast Rom for Daily Use.

Hello there Experts,
I love Android as much as you guys do. Maybe more.

This is the best thing ever !
hands down.
But right now I'm going through a phase where I am unable to find a ROM that is stable enough to be used everyday.
I went from SD Install of MDJ's CM7( Ginger Bread) to NAND FLash to MDJ'S CM7 and currently Dandiest's Desire.

They all crash , freeze , sometimes data/mobile internet will not disable.I call someone and it takes 15 seconds to hear the phone ring.........people cannot reach me....its always something.

Right now i really am looking for some direction/guidance from all your experts out there.......Talderon and San Antone( Get Well soon brotha...San Antone had accident.....pray he recovers soon)

Give me one ROM that I can flash through NAND/MAGLDR and then use it for months without issues......I know iphone sucks...i hate it loathe it.
But i am looking for something that is as stable as iphone's iOS.

Please Please Please help guys...please !

I am using the Cyanogen Mod 7 that Talderon developed here:

It is stable as hell. No issues with force closes or crashes. My only issue is that it KILLS my battery. I'm talking 2-3 charges/day and I am not what they call a power user. Wi-fi and GPS off, display dimmed, push notifications off, display times out at 15 secs.
I might try the MT4G listed above if buying a new battery doesn't fix the issue.

Sorry for being out of it for a while.

I have a MyTouch 4G and an HD2 running the MyTouch 4G ROM mentioned above. Rock Solid in side by side comparisons. The only issue I have had with it on the HD2 is that the battery drains faster on the HD than the MyTouch 4G, but not as bad as the battery killing power of most other ROM's I have used.

I am trying to work with some people on a GingerSense HD2 build. So far, not even stable enough to "beta". Glad I have more than one phone!

I found something that is very stable.Ive been on it for
almost a week. And it doesnt crash
doesnt hang/freeze/blackout while answering/making calls.
no missed calls
no high volume incalls
no robot voice.
everything else works....camera wifi gps...
simple and clean interface w/o sense(thank god).
no junk/bloatware( only 2-3 which i removed).
BUT HIGH BATTERY DRAIN...(as usual ...like on all of them)

i wanted something for daily use and i found it......keep everything Off ( wifi gps and stuff San Antone said)..........i charge once a day....but still drains when talking.

i hope they come out with some patch for battery drain.
Android has been around for a long time and still no battery fix?

Battery fix is not as easy as one might think. All of that information is in the Kernel and without detailed specs on how it all works (from HTC), it's a best guess. As most of the ROM Dev's are not ultimately true Dev's and just know how to use and make slight mods to existing code, it's up to the Dev's that actually write Kernels and whatnot to find out. There have been a LOT of test (beta) Kernels that have been release to try and resolve this issue with the HD2, but it's difficult since the HD2 is not a native Android phone.

Agreed. I have played around with different kernels that are out there on XDA. They actually make the battery drain WORSE. I bit the bullet and went with the monstrous extended battery and keep the stock one as a backup.

looking at trading the HD2 for a MyTouch 4G right now to have slightly better performance since this battery is so big...

@king. I am better. Knee and ankle still jacked up, but starting to get around.

I just installed TMOUS - CMYLXGO's Stock Desire HD version 1.1.90 and everything works and with low battery consumption. I left mu HD2 off the charger all night ie.. 7hours, when I got up the phone had only used 19% overnight just sitting there. For those of you that are looking for a rom with low battery consumption this might the one to try.

Since my last post I have removed TMOUS - CMYLXGO's Stock Desire HD version 1.1.90 and loaded [5 APR] [ZIP] HD2 CoreDroid DHD V1.6 EU&TMOUS which seems to be running great.

It seemed to be ok I have since changed to Frankinstine DROID S v1.3 and everything is working great. I took my HD2 off of charger at 7am this morning and 13 hours later the battery is at 68%. I feel eventually I will find the rom that will work great.

Damn, I took mine off at 10am and it was circling the drain (less than 5%) by 9PM. Wi fi and GPS off, screen as dim as it will go, and less than 30 min on the phone. Might have sent 50 texts and maybe 10 min on FB and twitter combined.

I have to agree with BigDaddyD that the Frankinstine ROM has the best battery life of any ROM I've tried on this phone or on my old Behold 2. I first noticed it when I went to the dog park (spent over an hour there) and spent the whole time either talking on the phone or playing Tap Tap Revenge. On the way there, I had the bluetooth on and was talking on the phone via my car's phone system and did the same on my way home. Then when I got home, I turned off the bluetooth and turned on the wifi and went trolling the Market for more interesting applications for another hour or so. On the old ROM, that would have used at least 25% or so, after all, that is approximately 2-2.5 hours of heavy usage and with the new ROM, it used maybe 10%. In real world applications, I purposely didn't charge it at work yesterday and made a couple of calls, spent lunch web surfing, and played Tap Tap Revenge and Abduction and Angry Birds, then turned the bluetooth on for the drive home and made another call. In the end, the battery still had just under half a bar.

I know this forum as been up for bloody ages, but for what it's worth, here's my two cents.

MIUI 2.3.23 is the most rock-solid ROM I've used till date. I run it on an HTC Desire Z with Tiamat 1.1.4 kernel. Whatever bugs there are are not too serious. The camera and music apps are pretty good, it's interface is excellent and it has some awesome themes. It looks a little iPhone-y but I think it's totally worth it.

Go on then, look it up.

I use Hyperdroid gbx with juice defender start using my phone around 5am some what heavy usage by 10pm i still have about 40% of battery.GPS on,bluetooth off and wifi on most of the time.My fav ROM,very fast and stable no problems with it at all.
