Gorilla Glass or no?

Gorilla Glass has found itself on over 60 different products so far from laptops to the DROID. I don't think there is any news so far about the N1, but for sure the HTC HD2 does not have GG. But Motorola has had a long term relationship with GG using it on an iteration of the RAZR, so it is not a surprise they went to GG again for the DROID.

I am finding it a little funny that people EXPECT it to have GG cause the Droid has it. Moto and HTC are 2 separate companies who have no partnership. They each design their hardware how they choose. Both are in a partnership with Google to make smartphones with Google's mobile operating system. THAT'S IT. That's like saying because Toshiba starts putting 14k gold bezels on their laptops, HP has to do it because they both put Windows on their machines.

I'm shure there are Screenportectors available there to. If not look for an distibutor how will ship to HK. Look in eBay for example, there are many who'll ship to Hong Kong

The problem is screen protectors are really only available in the US atm. Shipping fee is a bitch. :(

I have shipped stuff all over the world at work the only place that is really a bitch is Israel. Otherwise everything is not that bad takes a couple extra minutes but not that big of a deal just have fill out a commercial invoice. And tax and duties on something that is like $20.00 big deal. It sure beats having to buy another one because the screen is scratched and no longer useable.

No, for several reasons:

1) Even though both are 3.7" screens, the N1 is actually 800x480 compared to the DROID's 854x480. The N1 screen is missing about 26,000 pixels worth of real estate thereby making the screen a bit more squarish than long rectangle. A DROID's screen protector would be too long and too thin.

2) The DROID's screen protector covers all the way up to the earpiece with an earpiece cut out. The N1's screen ends before reaching the earpiece. Again, shorter and in no need for a cut out in that area.
