HTC bookmark widget

hows it going?

this is driving me nuts so a bit of help would be appreciated

how do i add a bookmark to the bookmark widget with a picture?

currently mine has facebook, bbc, cnn, myspace, amazon google and ebay
id like to remove a few and add my own, im using the dolphin browser

when i hit add bookmark on the widget it says bookmark saved but doesnt get added to the widget but only to the dolphin bookmarks. i want to be able to have it in the widget so when i click it it just opens up the webpage. is this possible ?

i read someone said open the browser and hit menu to get up a menu to edit the bookmarks? i hit menu and the only one i can see is add bookmark. and the rest are not relevant

if i hit the plus sign at the top left of dolphin i can get the list of bookmarks. if i hit menu again the only options are snyc, import and label. i dont see how you can edit them again.

i also have the bookmarkBR app which allows me to backup my bookmarks and change the order they appear in the widget. however none of the new bookmarks i add are being shown in the app only the stock ones that were on the phone when i got it.

sorry for the confusion. any tips ?

If you are using Dolphin then you cannot save bookmarks anywhere other the Dolphin itself. You can import Stock browser bookmarks to Dolphin but not the other way. This is indeed anoying and hopefully they will address the issue in future releases.

I cannot work out how to remove bookmarks either.
I've added several in error!
I can edit them, so have changed Amazon to the uk address, for example but there is no obvious 'clean up' or 'delete' facility.

The Browser I have is the standard one that is on the HTC HERO, is that Dolphin?

No, the standard browser is not the "Dolphin Browser". If you search the Android Market for Dolphin you will find the 3rd party browser that others have mentioned. It is somewhat better than the stock Android browser.

If you like the basic browser check out Steel, its basicall the same but adds a few more nice simple touches that help. Dolphin has a bit more bulk. Try them both, it only takes 5 mins mate
