Help Handcent

I am trying to figure out how to create my own theme for handcent versus having to download and use one from the handcent gallery but I don't know how. Anyone can help? I can't even figure out how to use one of my own images as a background image on the conversation list or bubble list. When I click image in the background option, the only image it brings up is the image linked with the theme I am currently using. I will not bring up any of my photo albums so that I can pick one of my own images. ????

Im not sure how you could create a theme for handcent, Perhaps you should look at some themes other people have made and try to emulate them.

Here is a link to a themed handcent.apk, but I believe he did it how I would have, by editing the images in the handcent apk itself

To get a background image i found this on AC forums:

Go to the Background Setting and enable Use Picture, the Select Picture.

My problem is not in how to make them look, I have several images I would like to use. I don't know how to save the themes or to even use the images I've got. I have tried to enable the use of images in background settings. And I can go to the handcent theme library and download one someone else has created and it shows up fine. I just can't figure out how to take a photo from my phone out of my own gallery and put it as the background in handcent.

there are 2 places to set the back ground in handcent.
conversation list settings and bubble settings.
both have customizable back grounds where and image on you phone can be used as a background.
so.. the procedure is...
in handcent
settings/custom style/conversationListsettings/background/custom color. And there you have a choice of image or custom color.
and you can do the same thing under.. handcent settings/custom style/ bubble settings/ background.

Yes, I have done these steps in both locations and when I select image, it only pulls up whatever image was associated with the last theme I downloaded. It does not give me the option to select from my albums.

clear the image.. or if it just shows a place holder press it.. your gallery should open.

OH!!! clicking the image worked! Thanks, haha, I feel dumb now. Don't know why I didn't think to try that before!
