Does anybody know the Samsung's kernel source origin?

Hi,

Trying to figure out which kernel source Samsung took to maybe extract a patch set and create a newer kernel. Has anybody figured out where they exactly took the kernel from?

I found that they have e.g. files like qsd8650_defconfig in arch/arm/configs which are not found in the android/msm.git, but in the MSM/QSD git repo here: https://www.codeaurora.org/gitweb/quic/le/?p=kernel/msm.git;a=summary

Has anyone tried to figure out the exact version/commit that they took?

I looked into this a while ago and it is not available anywhere. What is available in the msm repo is a slightly newer revision of their base. The primary difference is a whole bunch of changed copyright headers.

Samsung is even more frustrating on their TV source releases. They used some heavily modified Montavista kernel which seems to come with their purchased SDK. I haven't been able to find a public source anywhere.

Samsung certainly gives off the impression of purposeful obtusiveness, especially with many of their source releases not matching up with binary releases.
