Ha, ya im surprised these forums go 50 posts a page...takes forever to find something your lookin for.

Here's hoping that im just bein paranoid and i get the batteries tomorrow like i was told i would! Ill let ya know if they do.

The reviews are preposterous. I am not surprised. One guy says that in a day he saw more than twice the battery life from the stock OEM. Makes no sense.

Here's what I think. 2 batteries that have 22% more capacity than the OEM? Add a dock charger. Cost is dirt cheap? Too good to be true. I've once ordered batteries off of ebay. They came from China. Worked decently for the first month and then the life of the battery fell of the cliff.

I did the same for my dinc, never had an issue or any drop off, and it was nice to have multiple batteries at full charge threw the wall charger. I coach and this was very useful

mine was shipped with working tracking. anyone actually thinking that they can tell how good the batteries are after 1-2 days are crazy. give it 5 days before you make any real conclusions. The phone will need to be recalibrated for the new mah reading too in theory.

OEM batteries typically offer stated or very close to stated capacity. After market batteries are a lie and a scam. They do not provide the capacity they state. Typical Mugen and Sedio batteries provide about 80% of their stated capacities. Fake OEM batteries can be even worse. Don't buy them, it encourages the scams.

I had an atrix before this and that phone came with 1900 mah and it was a smaller phone. If moto can do it why not HTC?

Exactly!! I had an Atrix too and returned it over the locked bootloader. But the battery lasted 30 hours of normal use (for me anyway). If Moto can do why can't HTC? That being said I knew the Thunderbolt had battery issues BEFORE I bought it. I am not complaining about battery ;life but just looking for solutions.

FYI on Ebay I bought an OEM HTC Mytouch battery which fits the TB and only paid $13 with shipping. Although I question whether or not it is a knock off. But the battery life after two charges has been great. It was up for 16hrs and still had 35% battery left this morning before switching it out with the original. I use an external charger for them instead of charging in the phone and having to bump charge.

I got the two cheapies for $9.95 w/ external charger yesterday. I was really curious about bump charging this battery with the charger. So I charged to 100% and very quickly pulled the battery out and put in the new "1500" one. Pretty much the same drop in batt with 4G pulling and playing around with some apps. But the interesting thing is that the external charger with the OEM battery turned blue almost immediately. On my DI I could pull the battery and have it get an extra 1/2 hour of charge at least on the external. My conclusion, therefore, is that the TB doesn't need to bump like the DI did.
I'll keep the cheapies for emergencies or travel. They seem to work fine and I won't have to go OCD on battery life although I prob will anyway.

Got my 1700s and charger today. Labeled as 1700 and with the thunderbolt listed on them. I thru 1 on the external charger and will put it in the phone once charged. Give it a couple days before a proper review

I always bump charge my phone and feel my battery doesn't drop as quickly. To each his own When I had the 1800 I never bumped, just used the external charger and it worked fine. When I get the 1700 I'll more than likely do the same.

BTW, anyone notice that the battery combo is now $54.99, instead of $49.99?

Supply and demand, I guess. He did the same with the 1800, IIRC. At first it was one battery/charger for $19.99 shipped, then a few weeks later it went to $25.99.

looks like someone who just wanted to piss on someone's parade. I dont even think he owns the batteries. May be they suck but without a definitive proof I will give them a shot. I went by the 4 positive reviews then someone who wrote a one line review may be after reading the article linked in this forum lol.

Are you pulling the battery out soon after the phone reaches 100%? My understanding is that the phone will let the battery charge to 100% and then stops charging and lets the battery drain until it reaches a threshold which is somewhere in the low 90s% at which point it charges to 100% again. Of course the phone still displays 100% charge through this whole cycle since it is plugged in, hence the reason for bump charging. Correct me if I'm wrong

You're right that is the reason. I had mine on the charger over night and when I put the battery on the external charger it was already 100%
