Root [Theme] Black, White, and Chrome for Gingerbread 2.3.3.4.5.588 Latest Leak

I've finished porting BWC for GB 2.3.3.4.5.588 (most recent leak), it was a pain in the butt, finally I'm done, well hopefully

It's been working good so far with no issues that I have noticed. If you guys catch anything that I missed, please let me know so I can get on it and correct it.

You guys know the usual disclaimers about "you" being responsible for your own phone, etc.

MUST READ before installing:

1. Make sure you are deodexed before installing, otherwise you will be in "force close heaven"

2. Check to see if your market has been updated to v2.3.6. Go to Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage applications, select the "All" tab and scroll to the market. Select "Market", and if it shows you are on v2.3.6, uninstall the update before proceeding to install the theme, otherwise your market will force close and will only be fixed by flashing your backup.

Market:
Has the latest market v2.3.6, themed Black Market.

Have been inverted to black, no longer the light colored background.

Dialer One (modded to match BWC):
It comes with the most recent v1.2.7.6.

Note:
When you first install BWC Dialer One it will not match the BWC theme, it will be a gray color. To make it match the BWC theme, do the following:

When in the app, go to Menu>Settings>General settings>Application theme and select the "Black" option, and that will do it

Dock Icons:
If you want the dock icons I am using, search "Tallmin icons" on Google and you will find them very easily.

BWC folder installed on SD Card has:

- "Addon" folder that contains addons such as, BWC Dialer One, Modded Pandora.
- Dock backgrounds for Replacement Home apps and some wallpapers.

I think I found a small bug. I use the multi touch KB and when the phone is vertical all is fine but when it is turned to landscape the keyboard is light gray with white letters which you just cant see. Turn it vertical and its cool again. unfortunately, I almost always type in landscape orientation because the buttons are larger.

That's the stock keyboard, but the key letters are white. I forgot to change some pngs for when the keyboard is in landscape.......that's an easy fix, but I'm not home now.

Most likely a deodex issue. Either you weren't deodexed or you weren't deodexed properly.

Update to first post:


Added Version 2 of the theme to fix Mulitouch KB Landscape mode.

For those who have already installed the theme, I also added a zip file to apply only the keyboard fix so you won't have to re-apply the whole theme

It's not, it's only rooted. You have to apply the deodex file. P3 made one, I made one, and a few other people made one......take your pic

Thanks so much for the awesome work! How can I buy you a beer? Quick question: I installed your deodexed zip earlier and it works just fine. But, I wanted to use the pulldown editor p3droid recently put out and apparently you have to use his deodexed file for it to work. Can I just flash his zip over this one of yours, or do I have to nandroid back, flash his, and then your BWC theme? Also, you were saying there were problems with others deodexed file. Have you had a chance to look at p3's newest one, and if so, would you use it or is there still bugs? Or, even better could you make the pulldown editor thing work with your files? I just like your work...never had a problem.

No need for all that mess bro. Use this link and post #267 will tell you exactly how to change it yourself.... Just use the zip from this theme and follow the steps and you will be golden.....

I installed the theme and it looks great! I especially like the boot animation and am happy to get the CRT animation back.
