TB Drop from 6 feet

Slipped from out of my ear / shoulder.. doing something with both hands and it bounced from 6' onto my cement driveway. Hit the upper left corner head on, bounced once, battery and back case popped off and I tried to be cool about it because it was a stupid thing to do.

I guess I got lucky. No screen scratches, or dents other than the corner where it hit. I might want to get that insurance I've been thinking about. ;-) Next time I might not be so lucky.

Point being, the phone is not super fragile and be careful.

First Drop. Dropped mine on the cement garage floor while taking it from holster of the Seidio Innocase II Surface. I guess it was about 3 ft drop. The whole thing happened in slow motion...landed squarely on a corner and then bounced a few times. I thought it was done and let out a string of expletives in front of my 9 yr old son! NO damage at all. Not even a scratch. I guess luck played a role too. The Seidio case had done its job! and for that I am very grateful and glad I bought it.

Husband dropped mine today. We were at the pool and I had it wrapped in a shirt to keep it from getting wet, did not have it in its case. He picked up the shirt not knowing I had my phone in it. It dropped about three feet onto concrete, door fell off, battery came out. Luckily it still works and does not have a scratch, other then one on the screen protector. I pulled it back to check the screen and it isn't on the actual screen, just the protector. How lucky!

So can I assume that the TB does not use Gorilla Glass?

Yep, I have the MDPA insurance on my phone. I had to pay for shipping, but they fixed it and its all good now:) I just wish that Seido would get the ball rolling on the extended cases.

It DOES have Gorilla Glass, but I dont see anything different from the glass. It seems fragile, but then again...it IS Glass. haha.

*looks at her naked Atrix* I will still say that I'll most likely lose her before I drop her, lol...not that that's a good thing *knocks on woods*

some sort of case and screen protector should be ordered the same day the phone is ordered. $10 on ebay and you've got case, screen protector and car charger bundle (and yes the cases are the same as the $25 ones at the verizon store and the screen protectors actually cover the whole screen unlike the $13 verizon store screen protectors...and yes between four smart phones in the household I've used at least 3 different random ebay stores with the same results).

I have a screen protector on my phone, but that's about it. The problem with cases is that I drive alot and like to use the VZW car dock, and no cases will work with the dock. :(
