Help How Do I Direct Storage to the SD Card in an Android LG Ally

I just bought an Android LG Ally phone. What I would like to do is automatically save photos to the SD card instead of the phone memory. The phone does not have very much internal memory and I can put a 32 GB SD card in the phone. I can not figure out any way to do this. Right now the only way I can figure out to save files and photos to the SD card is to E-mail them to my laptop and then attach the SD card to the laptop and transfer them that way. Seems like a lot more work than it should be.

I would also like to be able to save apps to the SD card, too. Right now the only way I can get them on the SD card is to wait until the phone tells me its running low on memory and then I can transfer two or three apps, just enough to give me the needed space in the internal memory for the phone to run everything.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much to anyone who tries to help me.

Thanks again,

Hi,
Thank you for responding to me. I followed your directions and after I get to Managed Applications there is no installed tab on my phone. The only tabs are Downloaded, Running, All and On SD Card, which just shows me the things that I had to transfer to the SD card to free up space on my phone. When I press the menu button at the bottom of the phone (next to the on/off button) it just gives me the option to sort by size or sort alphabetically. Any other suggestions?

Thank you again for responding to me.

The camera does save them to the sdcard /sdcard/DCIM/camera/ i believe is the directory.

Is this the standard default? If I begin to use an LG Ally from factory restored settings, do I need to make any changes?

Keep in mind some apps REQUIRE being stored on the internal memory. (Launchers, Live Wallpapers, etc.)

It won't let you move if they are required to be stored internally?
I had a windows phone a while back and really got messed up. It would let you move any app to the memory card then they wouldn't function.

I am getting a used LG Ally for my first Droid. It appears it isn't going to be as nice as other Droids, but it has to be better than this crackberry!! Just trying to get my ducks in a row before I start downloading stuff and taking pics. Any help is appreciated.
