Microsoft Sync + SF = Awesome

Has anyone used their Fascinate with Microsoft Sync in Ford vehicles? If so, what is your take on it.

I just got a Focus and have been using it to make calls and stream music. It does that very well. However, my SF gets super hot while streaming internet radio via bluetooth. Plus, it can't recharge via the in-car usb fast enough. :( Those are the only two drawbacks.

My wife just purchased a new Fiesta and one of the first things I began fooling with was the sync, using her co-worker's Samsung Behold 2. Calls worked well, the streaming radio was nice and the battery drained normally as far was we could tell. Heat? Didn't see much of that, I admit to not handling it very much, but I would have noticed if it was out of the ordinary, I think.

We think it's a great feature, another alternative.

I have been reading that Ford Sync has issues with the SF, has anyone noticed this? Seems to be more recent than the previous two messages - my guess would be the last OTA update caused some issues?

My SF worked awesome with my truck until I got the new update, now it only stays connected for a minute or two and disconnects. Every once in awhile it will connect and stay that way for a few hours but when I get out of the truck and back in it's not working again.

after the update, I found the Ford Sync went into privacy mode, I'd be connected via BT but not able to get any audio. Took Sync out of privacy mode and no problems since.

Mine will do that as well but only every once in a great while. Mine will connnect for 120 seconds and then disconnect, I see the phone has a "stay visible" setting that lasts for 120 seconds. There may be something there but I have no idea how to test it or keep it visible.
Went to the local Ford dealer yesterday to see if they could help and there was a guy with the SF and it was also not connecting anymore to his Flex (kind of a cool looking car BTW).

How did you get it out of privacy mode??? Mine just started doing the same thing after updating to 2.2. It just ends up going back. I'm going to try a clean pairing and see if that works

Under the bluetooth setting does it say paired or connected to your phone? You should not have to be visible after the initial pairing (remember 'visible' means visible to everyone...not just sync)
