Help Is there a browser for the moment which can open "https" secure websites?

Title pretty much says it all. I am trying to open a secure website (https) and the Moment stock browser balks. Will another browser work or is this a limitation on the phone?

dolphin works. just verified by going to my online banking.

I've never had a problem with the stock browser opening secure sites. Even those with expired certs gives me a nice warning message just like on a PC.

I log into my bank account almost daily, with the stock browser.

What is the website so others can try. Also check your web settings for something that may be blocking it. Popup settings and what not.

Interesting I get the same error message. On a computer it opens fine using IE8 andFirefox. Maybe a security issue on mobile browsers rom the site for security purposes.

Send an email to webmaster@dcsc.gov. It's listed at the bottom of that page.

Could be that the site is sensing that the browser isn't compatible.

My Moment won't open the page either, even though it will open my bank's (and many other) HTTPS URL's.

I looked at that page and noticed that the SSL certificate is issued by Entrust.net. Entrust is not one of the big players that I'm familiar with, and It is possible that Samsung (or Google) didn't include any root certificates to validate Entrust.net SSL certificates.

It's just a total guess though, and probably wrong. I would have expected a certificate warning, similar to the one I got just now when I tested loading a page on one of my web servers using a self signed SSL certificate.

I tried it on my wife's Blackberry and got the message:

Unable to connect using the current security settings. Please contact your service provider.

Does this suggest what the problem is? I can contact the webmaster but I'd like to be able to specifically identify what they need to change to make this work.

It's a .gov site so it's probably looking for something to indicate it is a computer. Try telling dolphin to render as desktop.
