Hi,

This might be basic, but I just recently got my HTC Inspire and it's my first Android - so I'm having some issues, likely from my own stupidity.

My big one is connecting to wireless networks, like the one in my house. When I connect to a wireless network, password protected or not, I get an issue where the status is "Obtaining address..." It cycles from there to "Disconnected" and back to "Obtaining address..." and unfortunately as far as I can tell there is no change to my internet connectivity and it is drawing on the AT&T network.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I bought a Inspire off of Craigslist and my wifi was doing the same thing and the GPS would never lock on. I found out that it had been rooted and having a Mac and no Windows computer around instead of unroot it I flashed the LeeDroid ROM to it and after a reboot my wifi connected first try and the GPS now works like it should. If your phone is new then my situation may not help you. Sucks when things don't work out of the box all the time like they should.
