Best, cheapest way to upgrade to TBolt

Bit of a newbie here so bear with me. Here's my situation:

My current phone is a Samsung Rogue, and it's 2-year contract ends May 15th. My wife has a Nokia 1112 that is woefully outdated. Time for two new phones!

She's getting an iPhone 4. I'm eyeballing an HTC Thunderbolt. We want to get a family plan on Verizon. I'd like to use my (final) New Every Two upgrade toward my TB. We'd both like to keep our current mobile numbers; this is especially important for my wife.

What would be the best way to go about doing this? Amazon Wireless (which I've used and liked in the past)? I've read good things about Wirefly. VZW?

VZW lists the TB for $249, but I keep reading about it being on sale for anywhere between $129-$199. I believe that's for new contracts rather than upgrades though.

We're ready to pull the trigger right now, but we just want to save whatever bucks we can. Basically get the best deal available to us. So how should we go about this?

Thanks!

First look and see if you or your wife's employer has any discounts through vzw. I did that and was able to save 25% off of my phone, my plan and accessories. Shop around...

My wife also got the iphone 4... 2 days after playing with my HTC th, she took her Iphone back and got her own HTC th...

How much is your NE2 amount, and how will that affect your final price at anywhere you purchase? Also, just research things like warranty options, return policies, insurance availabilities, as some places may have different things on either. A lot of your prices will vary, mostly with either your NE2, or their own pricing / rebates. For example, it is easy possible to get the TB from VZW at say, $149, if you have a full $100 NE2. Not everyone does, though. Some people only had a 50. Other people had 30. Obviously that changes your final costs.

Also, if you haven't yet, and if she isn't completely set on the iPhone...take her into a store, have her play with both, fully understand the differences, and capabilities. Save yourself a restocking fee if she is unsure, and BE sure (or at least moreso) before signing.

Hell even at $149 from VZ you can get it cheaper on Amazon the TB for is $129 now.
