Ok so this is my first post guys so take it easy on me. I have this app called drag racing and was wondering if anyone else has this app and if you could help me out. In the game it says that the AI shows you how to drive well but not the best so if someone could tell me how to drive better that would be great. Also could you tell me what car you think is the best?

My car is the Koenigsegg Agera R :)

U have a great car. Driving each car is different. If we have the same app then there is a setting called "Vibrations" turn it on. It will help u feel ur car out a lil better. The above responder stated that u should "start" in second gear. In the app its not possible to switch gears before the lil chick drops the flag, so here is what u do...

1.) When starting, rev your engine to the point where the tachometer (Shift light) turns green. Hold it there until the race starts, u will start off with an extra boost.

2.) With the Koenigsegg Agera R, as soon as u "Go!" off the starting line, immediately shift up to 3rd gear. This will give u an additional boost, as the engine RPM'swill match better with the higher gear. (Note: Better tires, and a lighter weight car give u better grip at all shift points, thus, better acceleration).

3.) After shifting to 3rd gear, allow the RPM gage "catch up" and wait for the tachometer to light up in blue (Good shift). As soon as u shift into 4th gear, Hit the Nitrous. This is the final boost to your engine in the acceleration, and it will push u to ur max speed faster.

4.) After you hit the nitrous in 4th gear, try to perfect shift the rest of the way to 7th gear. It will help with the acceleration of the car as well.

Summary: Let the gear shifting attribute to the acceleration of the car in the initial launch as it will allow for the nitrous to act as a secondary booster toward the middle of the drag strip allowing the car to push to its max speed at a much faster rate than it would if used in the beginning of the race.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

Real life drag-racing and this game are of course two different things, but with a little effort you can figure out the gameplay mechanics and necessary strategies to succeed. On average most of the little launch in 2nd gear and hitting the nitrous in either 2nd or 3rd works pretty good, but not all the cars work the same. The heavier top-end sleds as I call them, while powerful but heavy they tend to like the nitrous in 3rd only and launch with 1st gear with minimal wheel-spin. Then there is the Bugatti Veyron SS, the world guiness record holding 268mph 1202 bhp beast, stock for stock against the Ultimate Aero in Drivers Battle the Aero smokes the SS most of the time, frusting and bad programming on Creative's part, it's just a game as they say. LOL so I decided to test something, sold the Bugatti Veyron SS and bougth the Aero...well guess what, stock for stock the Bugatti SS smoked the Aero time and time again. I'm consisten too, while this is a game I do drag race in real life and I built my last two cars, the latest which runs high 10's 1/4 n/a (no power adders). So I determined along with some friends and a little bit of testing that either the online mode is altogether just fake/prettend programming to display their ads and make money or just inadequate game programming. I'm waiting on a reply on this from Creative, we've been communicating back and forth on some other bugs of which one they fixed the following day I notified them. They do seem to care and are working supposedly on a full blown online with username/etc option, we'll see.

Bottom line I decided to sell the Aero, bought another Bugatti SS and am just satisfied knowing this car bone stock has the best grip of any car. This was an expensive purchase of a Bugatti SS, sold it, bought an Aero @$2mil, sold that bought another SS..sheesh...but here's a tip, just do the Drivers Battles, for one it helps you learn the best launch/shift techniques per car, which are all a bit different and two it's the quickest way in this game to earn money/respect.

Now the Henn Venom GT, well I had doubts, but pulled it up online, sure enough it's a real deal vehicle, 1 mph slower @267 and 2 bhp less than the Bugatti SS. I personally think it's an ugly car the Venom GT but I think less of John Hennessey (the Viper guy) due to his former crooked business practices. He lost a lot of respect and has become a bad name in the business, how he has remained in business is amazing to many.

Hello everybody......I also have this game and think it is awsome but I also need some help. I have the Aero TT fully upgraded with the tuning option. How do I gear this thing and run it to hit the 10s? My best runs so far have been 11.03s (1/2mile), I have raced other Aero TTs that are running in the 10s so I think it can be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start from the default, then adjust one gear .50 one way, then the other, test, and keep an eye on the 0-60 & 0-100 times, as well as max speed, the lower 0-x times the better, and higher max speed the better.

Basic tutorial for the game, "get as fast as you can as quick as you can" not as easy as it sounds.

A "perfect launch" is NOT the best launch, especially for higher class cars.

Start with a Clio sport, then get an M3, fully mod the M3 and tune it, and you can get sub 14.500 for the 1/2 mile, ive been raking wins all day, best 1/2 mile time with the M3 is 14.488. with the M3 redline the revs and launch in 2nd, you can still get a "perfect shift" instead of a "perfect launch" and your looking at 14.x for the 1/2 mile times straight away.

Use the M3 to save up cash and get the koenigsegg, NEARLY max the upgrades to keep it in lvl 8, and you'll blitz everything in lvl8. With this car tho launch in 3rd not 2nd, same deal.

Use that to save up for the Aero and same story again, but launch in 2nd as it only has 6 gears unlike the koenigsegg's 7.

Does anybody know how it seems some "online" racers are getting an extra boost of speed at the end after they already used the NOS? I've been in the level 7 race with the Ferrari, I max out at 238mph and then the other guy just blows right by me. How is that possible?

Hahaha I love that ferrari 599! .....its because its been tuned... I don't understand it well myself but you'll notice how it (599) runs out of juice before the end of the 1/2 mile? Well if you experiment with the final drive in the tuning option, you can get a bit more out of it that does, as you say, seem like an extra nitro..... I love doing it though!

Okay, so I'm doing the driver's battles and there's one trick I haven't been able to figure out. I'm a level 10 and whenever the SSC Ultimate Aero TT comes up, I do the following:

Redline at the start and immediately shift to 3rd gear.
When RPM's reach 4,750 shift into 4th gear.
As soon as the RPM's reach 6,500 in 4th gear, hit nitrous and quickly shift to 5th
Shift to 6th at 7,100 rpm.

I usually come across the finish redlining in 6th gear at 276mph...
But here's the kicker... I've been passed... How does one make their car go faster past redline? What's the trick to do this? It's happened to me a handful of times and I don't understand how someone with the exact same car as me is gets a boost and ends up traveling faster than me, thus beating me when I've already hit the "top speed."

Thanks

OK, so this is a popular car(599black)....its fast in the 1/2. im stuck trying to tune mine to beat the level 7 boss at $7200. he runs 12.6-12.886 and i have gotten down to 12.92 at best............. anyone have any tune tips? I have the mods to the fourth digit across the board except in weight at 2 digits.

ok, nevermind i figured it out. tweak here tweak there i win 12.85 to his 12.89 BOOM.

P.S. The Lambo is where its at in the quarter, 8.56ish fully decked out/tuned, 8.8-8.9 almost fully modded/tuned. until level 8 cars that is then ur f'd.

this game is so addictive! after updating, i see a few changes.
first of all, in the upgrading place, there is a new button that says "tune".
it tells you the price of the tuning package and the respect. has anyone tried this? is it cheaper compared to upgrading parts one by one, and does it upgrade everything?

also, which of the final 3 cars would be the best to invest all the money and respect into?
ultimate aero, bugatti, or the super expensive venom GT?

You need to upgrade AND tune. Tune kits cost a lot of RPs but they can do wonders for your car and the price of the tune kit does NOT count against the level of your car. Once you buy the tune kit, you can use it on that car forever. You can change the set up over an over to find what works best for your car and the distance you are trying to optimize.

^It's hard to say... I love my lvl 9 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and my lvl 10 Hennessey Venom GT. But I also have a Lvl 4 tuned Porsche 911 Carrera 997 and lvl 6 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera.

Again, does anyone know the answer to this?
