Root FOTA kill???

Yeah I wasn't thinking about deleting it in particular (haha). I was thinking that maybe it was a native task killer that came with the cm7 mod, because some apps do start up upon boot and are killed later automatically by some system process.

I'm basically going to look through and delete everything possible while keeping the phone operational, just to see how bare I can get it to run. If I mess it up ill reflash being that I already have the roms on my SD card.

best way instead of reflashing is backup your current rom in cwm and if anything messes up in the process, you can always restore only takes 5 minutes in stead of re flashing.

...I appreciate that nutmeg, but I've already deleted a few things, so I'll kind of want to go back to stock CM7 and start over. I'm just kind of experimenting around with this Rom.

no...i thought about changing some setting also, just to see what happens..

well I'm just trying to see everything I can do to make it run fastest, and most efficiently, so I'm thinking about raising the compression, turning the CPU all the way up, deleting everything not absolutely necessary, also....check this out, there's an option in titanium backup to convert a system app into a user app, but you need the donate version. Any how this would allow you to move certain system apps such as market to the SD card

yeah and on icarus if you partion the sdcard for a2sd if you load the market for the fist time and sdcard is in phone, the market would be install to the phone, and when you remove card market wouldnt work no more...
