Hi folks, i have a new hero and i have 2 emails on the phone atm that i use, a Hotmail and a @live. I seem to be only getting the emails from the first hotmail account. when i enter @Live email there is never any emails yet i am recieving emails on that account.

I need the @live email to also show me my emails when they come as this is the more important one of the two.

Also on both emails inbox is always empty, how can i change it so i can see all my old emails aswell ?

Any decent apps to make this all in one? im in the UK.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for your responces, ive gone into the incoming settings, the email address is fine, username (doesnt matter does it?) just placed my name there, password is fine, POP server ive just put live.co.uk,SMTP is also live.co.uk but only shows up when the account cannot be verified. security type none, server port 110. when i push next it cant verify the account says server is not responding i have wiifi on so i have a connection.

I also have this account set as default but i guess as its not verifing that doesnt matter for my problem. Sorry but im a newbi with these phones its my first one.

I can seem to find the sync settings?

Edit: i have download frequency set to 15 mins if thats what that is
Edit: i tried alos username as the email address and my full name still cant verify it

Thanks alot

Thanks JayCee, you pointed me in the right direction with your reply and after some searching came across:

http://androidforums.com/htc-hero/7324-working-hotmail-settings-uk-users.html

hotmail on g1? [Archive] - Android Community Forums

All i did was change what you said pop.live.co.uk to pop3.live.com, same with the SMTP to.com

No clue why .com seems to work when im in the UK and my mail is .co.uk

But it seems to have done the trick recived my test mail from the live account and from hotmail.com account. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Now if i could find an app that opens the mail without having to swap accounts, so i can just click the mail and reply and it would reply from whichever mail it was sent to, does anything like that exist ?

Thanks again!
