Wozniak Loves the Nexus One

They didn't ask him which he like better.

Wrong, Blinky. In the video clip interview that accompanied the original article Apple Cofounder Confesses: He Loves the Google Phone | NBC Bay Area, he was asked what was his favorite gadget. His answer was not the iPhone. So whatever solace iPhone fanboys gave themselves about his having an Android plus "numerous" iphones, when asked about his favorite, he was clear. Sorry about that but, it is what it is. At least he was honest.

Still underwhelming. And inconclusive at best. It's his favorite. So what? You have no idea if it is his favorite because it has a pretty color, or it's his favorite because it has the one app he uses, etc. It could be that his newest gadgets are all his favorites and he plays with them the most because they are so new. You don't know Now do you?

Red, blue or chartreuse. He said it's his favorite. He was not asked about degrees of favorites, nor colors of favorites. Simple question: What is your favorite gadget? He answered in his own words. Unforced. Done. You'll have to get over that Blinky, now won't you? Conclusive. Next!

No it doesn't. What exactly do you know about Woz?! Nothing! It's his fave. Big deal. For all you know, it's his favorite because it has a pretty color. They didn't ask him which device he thinks is better.

That's the point Blinky. Period. You keep making my point. His favorite is not his iPhone. The question was simple. The answer definitive. You will have to find a way to get over it and lets move on.

That is nice and all, but what the hell specifically do you know about Wozniak's preference for one phone over the other?! Answer: nothing! Now, move on.

Favorite gadget. So what? They didn't ask him which phone is better. There is a difference. You can't see it. That's your problem. They didn't ask him which device is better. The iPhone is still Wozniak's choice.

Blinky. Get a clue. His favorite is his own choosing. He said it. I don't NEED to know about him. He made a statement. You obviously don't know as much about him as you thought you did, poor dear.

It is no doubt difficult for you to accept his statement because of loyalty to an object. This group, or a 12-step program will help you. It's a nice group of people. Perhaps when you tell your story of inability to let go of idolization of an object, they can steer you toward freedom:

Good luck - We can move on now. This topic is done. We have established that the man made a statement of fact. We accept that and need no further discussion. So Blinky, I'm sorry to burst your fan-bubble. It's going to be okay. You will see.

There is life after iPhone. Android has arrived and it's not going away. We can peacefully co-exist. But you must accept that... his favorite is not his iPhone, LOL

Of course he does. I am sure there are even some Windows programs he loves! Ok, well lets not go THAT far :p I can guarantee you Apple engineers are taking a real close look at all these phones and taking their time with the next gen iphone. When it does eventually come out, I am sure it will blow the doors off anything else on the market as the first gen did.

What I love about all of this is the INNOVATION! No one can discount Apple's commitment to stellar design and ease of functionality. But with the advent of Android with its Open Source leanings, this gives way to broader participation by developers who may not have had entre into the inner sanctum of the upper echelon boardrooms. And what we get is innovation on a grand scale. It is something that in these recessionary times, we had lost and were sorely in need of.

All kidding aside, I am excited about the breath of fresh air that the Nexus One and Android itself has given technology. And yes, Apple led the way. But the Apple engineers will have to make room for the Android community. Microsoft was never an innovator per se. They had an agenda to put a chicken in every pot, so to speak and they did that, like no one else. But the new kid on the block, and we have to give Google credit where it is due, has made a big splash and it's not a flash in the pan.

Kudos to all the innovators!!!

I like Android. I like it better than the iPhone. Don't get your panties all in a wad that Wozniak likes the iPhone better. Actually, I don't know that and neither do you! Woz never said that he likes the one phone any better or worse than the other. He just made a flippant comment about his favorite gadget. It don't mean jack____. So, move on NOW.

Blinky, you're done, hun. Buh-bye!

P.S. You might also look into an English course. The statement was (again) What is your FAVORITE gadget...not what color, what shape, nor any variant thereof. Get it, Blinky? A simple question. He had a simple answer that you can't seem to get past. You don't need to keep repeating your errors to me. Just get over it. I can't help you with that. Look into that 12 Step program. You'll get over the fact that someone actually CAN love something other than an iPhone. Poor thing.

And finally Blinky, your continuing to write to me doesn't change his statement so, we're done here. Favorite gadget. subject closed. Since you have an ongoing problem with his statement, you'll have to take that up with the man himself. Frankly Scarlett...

You are officially dismissed. NOW. Toodles!

@NowVoyager: you're 100% right, the iphone fanboys have to learn to accept facts. They live in a world of denial and it's so very sad. :(

It really is sad...And just think, there are other phones coming down the pike. Yikes!!! We'd better do an intervention! Perhaps we can take some courses in CiPR - Critical iPhoner Rescusitation :p

Uh, that's ok dude. I could really care less about your lack of enlightenment on the issue. I don't LOVE the iPhone. I do love the Android OS though. And actually, and I don't know how Woz feels about it either, though I could guess because it is his choice and what he uses. Does THAT speak volumes to you?! Probably not. You would prefer to stick to soundbites that don't amount to much. That's your style. Now, don't let the door hit you and in the behind on the way out.

Blinky, you and your rants have no nutritional value. Thanks for playing!
POOF! Begone, you have no power here!! LOL

You identified yourself as a fanboy by your actions and now you are backing away from your fanyboy-ism???... "I love Android"...yeah right! - You have a problem accepting reality. And you keep reiterating that point. So let it go. He said that his favorite gadget is the one that came out last week *not the iPhone*. Get on with your life.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste...No one asked you to KNOW him nor anyone else. Simply hear and ACCEPT his statement. There are meds for altered reality states. Call your doctor and get some rest. Ahhh! Now. go away, nurse your wounds and let the Android people resume our conversations. Say Good night, Gracie!
:::Ignore Blinky mode engaged:::

It was taken a bit out of context. Here is his explanation in a comment to Gizmodo:

Actually, everyone got it wrong. My favorite phones are my iPhones. When asked what my favorite gadgets were I took it to mean new gadgets I was playing with (that I considered good). I am not a switcher but I'm not going to tell people that the Nexus One is not a good gadget.
