Spotted an N1 in the wild?

So, there are a few of us in here that have or are about to receive N1s but have you seen any out in the wild. Places like the supermarket, shops, pub, work etc?
It'd be good to get an idea of how exclusive our club is at the moment.
I went out today and tried to show my N1 off as much as possible but no-one seemed to notice it (that I saw anyway). I haven't seen or know anyone around my area that has one and I'm always keeping a look out for them.

Give an account of where you saw one, other than your own obviously, and what the reaction was to the device from others.

Cheers.

besides my own, have yet to see another... i have to admit... that's kinda cool ;)

brings back the feeling when i first got my iphone 2G in 2007.... certainly NOT the case when i had my 3GS...
Yeah, I spotted some old dudes in a phone store looking at a 3GS. I was glad that they're not in my gang.
It makes me think about hardcore gaming, well when it was hardcore. PC gaming maybe still is that way to some extent.
You should salute another N1 owner when you see one!

Haven't seen one and we probably wont see many, if any, for a while. Doesn't bother me one bit as I too am one that grew tired of being able throw a rock and hit an iPhone user.

On a somewhat related note- I was at a restaurant I frequent the other night and one of the owners asked to see my phone. As soon as he got it, he immediately recognized it as "the Google phone". And then announceded that "this phone is $500". Thanks.

I was at the mall yesterday and was playing with a Cliq at the T-Mo kiosk. The rep of course readied his pitch and asked if he could help me, and I said, "Oh just checking out your Cliq." He said... "Oh that's a sweet phone." and I replied, "Ya... but it still can't touch that Nexus One." He said, "Ya... that's a pretty cool phone, but you gotta buy it online from Google." I said... "I know..." and then I whipped my N1 out. The guy's jaw dropped... and he asked to play with it for a few mins. He said, "You're killing me! I want to get this sooo bad."

And that is my celebrity moment with my N1.

I did the opposite earlier this week. While at a T-Mobile store to get a new sim card, I told the salesman that I was THINKING about getting g a Nexus One, all while it was in my pocket. I wasnt in the mood to have my 3 day old N1 fondled by a stranger I guess.

Hah, this is my problem. I want to show the little beauty off, but not get to the awkward moment when they say "Can I have a go?" and I respond "Well, errrrrrm..."

So for that reason it's staying in my pocket whilst in the company of like-minded phone lovers until I've got over It's MY New Gadget syndrome. Or I get my first scratch. Whichever comes first.

The worst bit is I'm going to have to let my boyfriend have a go this weekend, and he is well known for breaking things. Washing machines, fridges... stupid man hands! I think I'll close my eyes and pretend it's not happening ;)

I live in the UK so the chances of seeing another N1 user are very slim.

Someone sent me a text the other day that contained a joke (the text was on my N1). I had to show the joke to a work colleague (it was a good joke) and the first thing he said was "this phone's nice - what is it?".

The fact that he thought it was nice AND didn't recognise it felt good. I think that us N1 owners are part of an exclusive club and we should be proud of that. unlike iphone users.

Nope, not seen another one in use and unlikely to until at least Vodafone start selling officially in the UK.

Was taking my watch in for some "timekeeping" advice yesterday in Salisbury & the helpful sales guy noticed the phone. I mentioned it was the new Google phone & you could see his eyes light up - perhaps I will let him have a play with it in 2 weeks time when I have got to go back.....

Oh, somebody boot the iPhone fan guy off the forum, as quite clearly, he has nothing to add of value to these forums......

hahah... you should kicked him in the nuts as you grabbed your Nexus One back! :D

i had the same reaction when I first got my iphone 2G - people in public would cynically say "so that's the "iphone"... the $600 phone?? " jealous people....
