Help Is there anyway to copy and paste a sentence from a website?

No. And hopefully Google does implement something like that. In fact, they should figure out a way to redo the entire copy and paste implementation in a more elegant fashion. Just rip it from Apple.

does that also work with emails? I suppose I can try it out myself but I was wondering if I could copy a joke from an email and paste it into a text?

Nope it doesn't seem to work in the default Android email app at the moment. I'm sure it'll be introduced soon though with enough demand.

although if you are using e.g. gmail and navigate to it using the browser rather than the app then you can still copy and paste

Well, it's mostly functional but it's still horribly clunky, even with the trackball. It was probably added as one of those, "Oh! We should probably give users a way to select and copy text. Someone add that code before we break for mid-morning snack in... 10 minutes, OK?"

Ah, a most familiar sentiment! I feel sorry for the people using quite a few of Sun Microsystems internal websites that we were working on whilst I was an intern there - "It's precisely 2 hours since our last ciggie break, drop everything!!!"

i'm glad the Nexus has a trackball... i've been using it since day 1... extremely useful little tool...

Instead of dragging my finger, I opened a browser and went to "SELECT TEXT" after I began to roll the trackball which turns into a little mouse icon and from there you can pinpoint your sentences much more precise if you have fat fingers.
