Replacing 8gb with 16gb MicroSDHC

What is class and where do I see it?

Class refers to a cards 'speed' or ability to rear/write data to and from the card. If you see no reference on the card to class, your card is probably Class 2. Class 4 has a faster read/write than a class 2 all the way up to a class 10 which is the fastest read/write available in a Micro SD card I believe offered at the present time.

Class will not matter on the phone...2 vs. 4 will show no differences...

It can matter in PC to phone/phone to PC transfers, so if you're moving large or lots of files between phone and PC regularly, getting a higher class card can help.

If not, don't worry about it and shop primarily by price.

Alright I'm back. Working with a 32 gb, Class 4 Sandisk. So far, I have had almost no problems. It took a few hours for the card to settle in, but otherwise it's great. Snappy. Music plays perfectly. The only issues I have with music are, as far as I can tell, with DoubleTwist.

Just upgrade and splurge on a real card. It'll be worth it.

I had a Sandisk 32gb card in my Droid 2 and the Droid 2 fired it and it no longer works. Now I use a 16gb and don't have any need for any more. The new Google Music Beta and with Amazon Cloud Player, I have my music in the cloud and have no need for the extra storage.
