Okay so I have been having nothing but problems since I got this phone and im ticked. I downloaded the software to sync it to my pc...It will NOT sync at all. I even tried just going into my computer and trying to access the phone as a detachable drive...It wont recognize the phone at all. Theres no extra drive when I plug in the phone. So what do I do now?? Anyone?

Also, as soon as I got the phone the tmobile tech put my old memory card in it and it FRIED my card, so I lost ALL of my pics and music. Then they told me I needed to pay for a new card! Needless to say I threw a fit until they gave me a free one.

AND:Why the deuce is mine so slow? I have like 20 pictures on my phone and it takes my gallery like forever to load...Sometimes I wait 5 minutes and just get frustrated and give up trying to get to my pics.

The phone is brand new still. So theres not tons of apps, the homescreen just has the basics on it. Nothing fancy, yet my phone is so slow! Theres NO music on it because i cant get the piece of crap to sync to my pc. Which is really upsetting because thats what I liked most about the phone, being able to put all my music on it. Can anyone help me with these issues?

Just tried it and it finally worked. I guess I have to go to "Connect to PC" Instead of just changing the connection settings through my alerts. It sure would be nice if it would actually sync through the program so that I dont have to drag all my music over file by file :(
You can make a file in the root and call it music or whatever you like, or I believe there is a folder already in the root called "media" or something like that, you can just drag over your folders with music in them into that folder. Just like moving files from one drive to another. BTW this is all through windows explorer.

Android does a great job of finding .mp3/4's that are anywhere on the system. The music app will find and sync them.

Thanks for all the help.:D Still frustrated about all the issues. I wonder why mine is slow? Now that you helped me with the sync though, I will probably keep the phone. Just have to deal with the slowness i guess lol.

No prob! Glad you got it figured out!

About the slowness...there is not one thing "slow" about this phone. Occasionally it can get a little sluggish if you're running a ton of processes or something. But certainly not something to suffer through.

There are tons of reasons yours could be chugging. You say the T-mo rep "Fried" your memory card...do you mean your SD card or SIM card?

It fried my SD card. I dont have apps running all the time. So I just dont understand how it could be so slow. I have a new SD card and it works fine. But still slow? My mt3g slide is faster than this one :(

Hmmm...honestly, I'd do a factory reset. Start fresh...before you have too many apps and whatnot. If you want to keep track of the apps you have so you know and can quickly and easily get them back, download appbrain app market and manage/sync your apps before you do the reset. It's a lifesaver! The slide3g is not faster than the mt4g.

Okay I will do a reset before I start moving all my music to my phone. Thanks!

Okay im STILL having problems. So it says all the music is on my phone when I go into the drive through my computer, and click on the music file. But when I try to access my music from my phone it just says "Please insert a SD card with music"...Anyone else have any suggestions?

Okay I downloaded SDrescan and scanned the SD card and that fixed the music. Now on to another issue, now I cant upload pics to Facebook. Any time I connect to Wifi and try to upload pics, it just sits there for HOURS trying to upload the picture I tried to upload. Then eventually I get an error message. Im thinking this phone is going to keep giving me nothing but issues...

Are you using an after market SD card? I've heard of people having issues with that. I don't have any personal experience with that however.

And is it just over wi-fi you are having issues uploading pics? Have you tried over the network?

The first SD card was the one that came with my mt3g slide. But that one got fried after the Tmobile tech put it in my new phone. So I went back in and got a brand new card, from the tmobile store.

I have issues with uploading my pictures to facebook weather its through wifi or the network. Sometimes it works. I guess I just have to keep trying a few times and hope it goes through.

Are you trying to upload them with "Facebook for myTouch" or are you using the Facebook app from the market? I don't think I ever tried using the FB for MT app that came on my phone to upload, but I never had problems uploading with the app from the market. You could also try one of the other various FB apps out there like Friendcaster.

Thanks for the tip Mildewman. Maybe I should download one of the apps from the market and try that. The one I use is the one that came with my mt 4g. I usually try to upload through wifi because i have limited data usage, but even when I upload through the actual network, it still gives me an error message half the time.

I really wish I could get the phone to sync so that I could buy/install apps through my computer. Because I have limited internet use on my data plan. Anyone else have this issue? If so, did you find a resolution?
Why not get a new phone!?!? I had my for, like, err, maybe two months and some weird things started happening (I won't get into details). I took it back up to the retail store and talk to the guy...with in 4 days had a brand new one, and it's working awesome now for the last 4 months!
Just seems like the easiest thing to do instead of continuing to fiddle around with it.

Everything you've described about your phone sounds all messed up. Mine is fast, clean, and runs like a top.

GL, Bro
