I'm brand new to the forums first of all, I just created this account in the hopes someone could help me out here.

I need to 100% factory restore my phone. I gave it to someone to remove the Metro PCS bloatware, and the annoying "hello hello hello" every time the phone starts up, apparently they deleted something they weren't supposed too from the firmware. My phones google search is broken now, and I cannot access the internet as there is no browser. So I would like to do a full factory firmware reset in order to restore whatever is broken, and then I would like some help from someone who actually knows what they are doing to remove the bloatware, and annoying start up Metro PCS sound.

Help me please? :D

Edit: Also, I've tried the factory data reset that's on the phone, that didn't work.

So, after the last 2 days of it being sitting in a bowl of rice, my Ascend turns on, but after being at the Huawei screen, it immediately goes to a screen that says Firmware Update Step 1/2 Unpacking, with a progress bar, but just under it it says Update Failed along with my buttons at the bottom flashing "arrow menu etc", is it pretty much hopeless or is there any possible way to fix my poor baby myself? Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, I broke my phone last night running. The screen is cracked and the camera is smashed. I can't view what's running however the phone still turns on.

Currently, I have a rooted phone and Barnacle, both which ruin my warranty / insurance for the phone. Is there any way I can somehow delete everything from my phone?

Yeah, just flash to stock.. I don't have the link off hand right now so if you cant find it pm me and i'll look or if someone can post it that would be great.. You'll need a PC to do it.. Just when you go into fastboot, wait 20 seconds to make sure it's in there before running the flash files to make sure its in there.. As long as the computer is saying ok during it you should be fine.. Phone will reboot afterwards so that will let you know that it took..

Heya, I just received my replacement phone today from the mail, and I am wondering, do I need to restore my old phone? I am going to send it back probably tomorrow.

It is a rooted device with all this yada yada that my provider, MetroPCS doesn't agree on.

They just sent me the new phone, not the memory card or SD card. I put in the old memory card and there was nothing there, but I'm unsure of anything at this point.

My phone is broken so I'll have to do it from my PC. So, do I need to flash my phone back to factory settings?

thanks for the tutorial man, really helped cause i had to turn in my phone to get it replaced, since stuff broke, but you could see the screen and it worked, so i flashed the stock :D and un root, but only one thing that sucks, the downloads from this thread were un-downloadable for me, since i had "RAR" and could not have download ".7v" or something like that. I had a friend to move it to RAR for me, but thanks anyways!
