Again, not an android app, and using it to just extract audio to mp3 is akin to using a sledgehammer on a nail, but Mediacoder can easily do that, from virtually any video file. Yes, it's free. I use it to encode videos to Hero-compatible format (mp4)
Try Tubemate - available from the Market. It will download Youtube videos and let you save the video or only the audio from it. I don't know if they have fixed it yet, but the one I used saved an MP4 file with an MP3 extension, so many programs reported that it was unplayable. But you can rename it to m4a and play it as it is, or you can convert it to a proper mp3 file.
