How many people have a Telus DHD

Just downloaded new update with no problems, took less than 15 to install.Phone is running great.

I agree the battery life sucks on this phone,I bought a replacement battery on ebay for $7.50 delivered, problem solved!

Here's the link

1600mAh Standard Replacement battery for HTC Desire HD | eBay

Hmm, I always see people link to possible replacement batteries, but I never read anecdotal evidence that a replacement battery actually shows better performance. What's your experience with the battery in the link?

I find the replacement battery is just as good as the stock HTC battery.I'm a phone junkie, constantly checking FB,emails, sports scores...etc,with 2 batteries I easily make it through a long day with brightness on full and running a live wallpaper. For 7.50 it's worth it.

yea the guys over at XDA say that no battery is better than the stock. Except maybe the Mugen batteries. The obostore one was tested by one guy as being of lower capacity than the stock one.

I bought the obostore one and i will give a 100% unbiased review of it. I might also buy a 1600mah one since i think that rating is more possible than 1800mah

Oh and battery seems to be improved on gingerbread, but i need to do some more testing. I plugged my phone in to upload photos, so i reset the plug in time. But i was at 90% with about 4 hours of up time. This includes about 40 minutes of screen being on, taking 4 photos, a 5 minute phone call, some texting and a minimal amount of web time. I leave screen on auto brightness almost all the time. Leave wifi on but i have juice defender.

I will run it down completely tomorrow when i am at work and report back on battery life.

Well I posted this in another thread but I'll do the same here. I updated my Telus DHD to GB and even with a low screen brightness I am still charging my battery almost twice daily with moderate use. I'm not seeing much of an improvement in anything really.

Any ideas? Maybe wipe and reinstall my apps?

Just buy a replacement battery, very very easy to change. The cover comes off and on easily, you'll get use to it,it's the only solution I found, and it's really not that much of a hassle, takes seconds.

question though. if i charge another battery and keep it with me for emergencies, how long will it stay charged for? and is it bad for the battery if i leave it fully charged in my backpack for weeks?

They stay charged for pretty long time. A few weeks and it'll still be at 100%, most likely.

As for damaging the battery... The optimum way to store a battery is at 40% charge. At 100% it will age a bit quicker. I only vaguely remember reading the figures, but at 40% or 100%, it's still only a small percent of the total battery life lost per year.
