Does Snesoid or other emulators work on Droid Eris?

Sadly yeah. No Muti-tap means no fun for Emulators and ROMs. I downloaded the emulator for my Eris and downloaded allot of ROMs of my favorite games. But.. it was very hard to play.. even the simple ones like Darius Twin or my favorite Final Fantasy IV was hard as heck to play. Donkey Kong Country played actually fairly well. Considering it's intense graphics for the SNES system. I was impressed.

Maybe one day it will work. One day. lol

It is fun though to play around with it. Try new games and old ones. You just might find one that is worth playing on it. Like Duck Hunt. ;)

I figure Multi-Touch isn't available to program by the developers of the apps. It may be a code or something not yet released by Google/HTC for anyone to program. The theory is, if the phone does it, your app can do it. So hopefully if this is not the case, Multi-Touch will be available to Developers with the 2.0+ release for the Eris this year. Let’s hope.

I play SNESoid. It has JUST enough buttons to play.

This is what you have to do though. You have to enable the virtual D-pad and/or use the trackball (I use both). Due to the un-goodness of these as controls, you really won't be able to play games that really require a lot of d-pad work.

This is how I configured controls:
Send-A
Trackball button- B
Search-X
Back-Y
Volume up- L
Volume Down-R

These controls work perfectly. like I said there are JUST enough buttons. I usually just play Final Fantasy III...

You're game playability is going to be limited but it works.
