There was a notice on my phone this morning to load an update (EF09). Before I do anything stupid, I wanted to clarify: I need to be 100% stock (stock kernel, stock recovery, unrooted) to do this, correct? If that's the case, then I'm just not gonna do it. Thanks.

I think so. Haven't got the notification yet, but its better to be safe than sorry.

Edit: Looks like this fixes the Update PRL and Update data profile errors some people have had. I've only had it once so I don't need the update anyways :p

There does appear to be a problem with this update on certain transforms. I received the update, it installed just fine, and now my phone says, "EF09" and the SprintID icon changed (it is more 3d isometric looking). Where a friend, which purchased a transform at the same time had the update fail, their transform still says, "EB28" and they still have the old SprintID icon. There is definitely an issue with this update. I did a factory reset on the device with "EB28" and it still thinks it is up-to-date. Anyone have any ideas?

What I believe is that the EF09 patch was an update for only the phones that needed it. My phone never had the troubles that EF09 was supposed to fix, and I never even got the update notice.
