How Fast can you and/or have you Drained your Thunderbolt Battery??

Hi all, 1st time poster here. I've spent about a month reading posts on the site, learning how to root, mod, etc. etc. This is my first 'Droid phone ever, and I am in love.

Anywho, the sole purpose of this posts is as the topic states; what is the quickest time you killed your battery??

I have the standard battery that comes with the phone. I ask this ? because I was having severe battery calibration issues, seeing as I would calibrate at the wrong times (not @ 100%, and I never knew to do it after rom flashes) I backup my rom every time I do a mod, whether it be as simple as a lock ring color mod, after I have installed a few more awesome apps, or when i decide on a standard OC speed to boot. Why? well, why not? :)

Some days I would have plenty of battery, other days I'd look and be all 'WTF?' as many of you have experienced I can imagine...

I got the battery calibration app because i liked how it would beep when you are at 100%. I don't have the time to watch my phone hit 100%, I'm usually busy doing other things. And I won't lie... i read some posts with varying ideas and when some1 mentioned an app I figured that was the right way. Well, seeing as you have to fill to 100%, then drain completely... then recharge without break, i wanted to accel the process, so...

I turned on barnicle wifi tether (which I absolutely love btw, great little app... mac filtering?! 100+ hypothetical clients? w000t) and then I proceeded to tether 3G to two laptops and downloaded heavily seeded movie torrents. Approx 100KB/s 3G is available to me out in east Long Island NY, no 4G (each lapy was around 50KB/s) I then set the OC cpu speed (GingerBAMF'd 2.1 btw) to 1.92gzh max AND min, set the live wallpaper to matrix live with 'very fast' falling letters, AND set the brightness to 100%.

I successfully killed the battery down to 3% before it locked up, i guess due to such extreme power demands and a VERY HOT battery... in....

61 Minutes!!!

Now the phone is charging up, overnight, without break. It was 1AM when i calibrated, and I didn't want to let it sloooowwwwly eat power and die tomorrow sometime, where I would be out and about and not be able to charge 'without break'

And so... I ask again, how fast can you, or have you drained your battery? I am not doing this for a pat on my back, I'm just generally curious as to whether any1 wanted to do the same thing to their battery with similar intent, or perhaps some1 only got 2 hours because they tethered and played games like a normal user?

I would like to put together an idea of approx how much power the different parts of the phone sap up. Still can't figure out which is the biggest culprit... Backlight, 4G w/ tether or live wallpaper.

Looking forward to your responses!

If you keep doing this, you're going to need a new battery a lot sooner than you think.

You might also want to consider never doing this again. I don't doubt the battery got VERY HOT as you described. So much so, that you're quite capable of starting a fire and causing a lot more damage than actually doing any good to anything, or anyone.

I've been in electronics for 20+ years and worked at some of the largest manufacturers in the world, and what you're doing is just asking for trouble.
