Ok, so this is what happend after I went to privacy settings, and clicked factory restore. Everything went fine until I my phone rebooted I was presented with the screen (Press send to activate your phone, with the emergency call button right next to it) but it didn't work and my phone didn't work also, so I called my carrier and asked them how do I get the phone back, they told me I had to bring it in so THEY can reset it for me unfortunately I thought it was free, BUT they charged me $100 to do that. Such a high price for something they didn't have to break a sweat to do. In my opinion a BIG WASTE OF MONEY.i was so pissed O_O ... Anyway my question: is there any way to factory reset without having to get charged $100 again. Can this be done without them?

I've never heard of anyone being charged $100 for Verizon to reset their phone, that's nuckin' futz! Next time try dialing *228, choose opt. 1 to activate or program your phone. Then, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call again, choose opt. 2 and update your roaming capabilities as well?
Just a cheaper idea to try, before getting jacked out of $100!?!?!? Again, I've never heard of any schmack like that before!!!!

When you reset the phone it should guide you to and actually dial the number to activate it on its own. Mine did this morning after a factory reset. The *228 is an option as stated above as well and was told to definitely do the *228 option 2 for roaming after completing the option one activation. I'd call the verizon tech support and speak to a supervisor and get a refund or credit after they charged you what they did. *611 and pick tech support to reach them.
