The Inc2 has a support PDF available showing a Gingerbread update. The only thing up for the Inc is the last interim update (VCast, etc).
I'm not holding my breath.
I just found that too......I don't think we're ever getting GB.
Anyone know what the next HTC phone for Verizon is going to be? I want a variant of the Sensation with dual cores. If not: Hello iPhone 5.
Kinda tired of these Android shenanigans..
Incredible is for sure getting gingerbread from Verizon.
What shenanigans are you so upset about?
Can someone point me to the leaked version from May? Does it work well? Has anyone had any issues with it? If not, I don't mind rooting again and flashing a 2.3 rom.

This game: This wait. not announce. Wait. Scour internet for rumor of update. Wait. Try calling Verizon. Wait. HTC says Q2. Wait. Q2 ends. Wait. "Expert" says it'll be out in 2 week. Wait. 4 weeks goes by. Wait.
Just announce the damn update and update us on the progress. This fragmentation of OS sucks. And I am beginning to hate Android because of it. AND NO I DON'T WANNA ROOT!!!! ...for the last time.
And I know Verizon is sitting on the update because HTC is probably finished with it and they (Verizon) are dicking around trying to make their bloatware work with it now.
"Fragmentation of the OS" is a illusion spread by iPhone fanboys. It doesn't mean anything. There nothing in the update that will make or break it compared to 2.2 we are currently running.
It sounds like you might be better served by a closed system like iOS. Android is about choice and as such different phones getting updates at different times is part of the deal.
I just hate how Verizon wants me to keep a phone for 2 years, yet doesn't offer OS support for most phones past 1 year. To be honest, this really isn't an android issue, or a HTC issue.....it's a Verizon issue.
Actually the upgrade process/problems is an HTC (Motorola, Samsung, etc.) issue not a Verizon issue. The long wait for the upgrade is because HTC has to get Sense to work with it (Motoblur for Motorola). This is also the reason there will be no more upgrades for the Incredible as HTC will not support it not Verizon. You have two options if you want infinite upgrades. Either go with an iPhone or get one of the Nexus phones which don't have the proprietary interface just the Android OS. I myself plan on getting an iPhone in December on a family plan, that way I can still have my droid and an iPhone so best of both worlds. Or maybe a Nexus I'm still not sure, maybe both.

Just watching the fun. Plus, I needed this post to get to 200.
