commuter on my E4G was a snug fit. what's up with that?
Also, commuter was designed to be "slippery" so that it doesn't catch in your pocket. I find the ratio of slippery plastic to grippy silicone is perfect. To each his own.
Dirty jokes crossed my mind upon reading this thread.
I think I already know the answer; but do they plan on replacing the cases of the people who bought the older incorrectly sized version? It's not the consumers fault they did the specifications wrong.The case specs are wrong. I talked to a regional Otterbox rep that comes by the store every once in a while to show us the newest cases, he said they plan on re-releasing it with the correct specs soon.
OtterBox Warranty Page - Website"OtterBox products come with a ONE (1) YEAR Limited Warranty from the date of the retail purchase by the original end-user. If a material or workmanship defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, OtterBox will replace the case only."
Edit: I'm going to try to Email OtterBox in the morning about this.
I just sent the Email. I will let you guys know ASAP.Excellent. appreciate the initiative here. please let us know what they say.

Recently a large amount of owners of the HTC EVO 3D have noticed that our OtterBox Commuters are loose-fitting on our phones and this has become a common trend. Especially because it leaves a gap between the top of the phone and the OtterBox case.
We were informed by an individual that works at a Sprint Store that an OtterBox Representative had come by the store. The OtterBox Representative let the Sprint Employee know that OtterBox knew about the problem and that it was being fixed. He said that there would be a re-release of the OtterBox Commuter for the HTC Evo3D that fit the phone properly.
My questions are;
Does OtterBox plan on replacing our old cases that do not fit properly?
If not, should we return our OtterBox Commuters now to our local Sprint Store and wait for the re-release?
If not, once the Commuter is re-released would the incorrectly sized cases qualify for the OtterBox warranty?
The warranty states:
"OtterBox products come with a ONE (1) YEAR Limited Warranty from the date of the retail purchase by the original end-user. If a material or workmanship defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, OtterBox will replace the case only."
Thank you for your time & I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,

Your cases that currently do not fit will most definitely be covered by the warranty still. We do not have the newest revision available yet but when it does get released we would be more than happy to replace your ill-fitting case with the updated more snug fitting case. If you have any other question please let me know.
