Root Apps broken on Velocity 1.1? Try This!

I have taken some advice from artcloud in this thread, and created a plashable fix. This SHOULD fix errors with some apps under Velocity 1.1
Download HERE
Wipe cache and dalvik-cache first!
Update 1:
OPENING SCRIPTS NO LONGER NECESSARY! Patch updated to have fixed android version nag.

All I did was edit my build.prop file sdkversion=10. Changed it to 8

Just posted this in another thread about editing the .prop file:

I will also confirm that editing the .prop file works! Maps, new Market, and even Pandora 1.5 work perfectly. I have to note that it took me forever to figure out how to get the .prop file to save post-edit. You have to check in the settings the permissions before you do anything. /noob

I was prepared to flash this file is doing the edit didn't work.

I think he means update the scripts through Terminal Emulator, like you would when you first flash Velocity v1.1. I could be wrong, though.

It will trick your phone into thinking you upgraded to 2.2.2 so you don't get the annyoing software upgrade text at 3am every morning.

No random force closes of maps. I was getting those quit often.
Was able to use Swiftkey X.
^Glad I grabbed it from Amazon while it was free.
^^on a side note, if you don't have Amazon appstore installed....get it. A free paid app every day. Hard to beat that.

This is correct. I realized after i made the zip that it reverts back to thinking its on 2.2.1. Just open the scripts, and savox's v38 patcher will fix that. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Is Trident, Savoxis, and death2all110 still supporting Velocity 1.1 or are they leaving it to others like j2cool2012 to keep it working as it should?

I edit my build.prop and changed the ro value from 10 to an 8. It fixed Pandora, Maps, the new market etc.... but here's the kicker, that was 4 days ago, guess what? I'm getting the stupid Maps force close again at all sorts of random times usually very far apart. Like when I wake the phone from sleep, when I'm downloading something from market, when I'm reading a text message, or when a call comes in.... It's stupid I know but what else in the build.prop might need changing to fix this??
