Root Help me find a com port for my phone.

Hi, I want to use CDMAworkshop but it asking for COM Port # in order to read/write information, I plugged my phone into usb port and open device manager and look under "Ports.." but there is only "Communitacations Port (COM1) available, what drivers I need to install to make my phone list under "Ports"
I tried with xp and 7, installed HTC driver but no luck, phones are EVO 4G and sanyo incognito.
Please help. Thanks
