Met a chick last night who was acting totally drunk then wrote her number on my phone following by an MMI sequence code starting with #. A message came up saying "Mmi code starting" and then "Sim card updated". My phone is working normally, but What could have been the reason behind all this? please help.....

codes starting with # are used to deactivate services
codes starting with * are used to activate services

codes starting with ## are used to deregister and deactivate services
codes starting with ** are used to register activate services

codes starting with *# are used for phone status /information .

you will need to contact your service provider and check what have you deactivated .Flashing phone wont help .Changing sim card will help.

Is there any way I can get to see all the codes? Maybe I remember what she pressed, my Service provider customer care is totally naive... :/

PART II

GSM Suffixes

10 All types of cellphone services
11 Speech service
12 Data service
16 Short message service (SMS)
18 All data services without SMS
19 All cellphone services without SMS
25 Asynchronous point-to-point connections including PAD's (all asynchronous data services

To the above codes suffixes before # separated by a * can be added to affect a specific service

e.g 21 is used to divert calls unconditionally'
*21*number*16# will divert the sms

PLUS your carrier can define specific codes for their own purpose for various services. Those codes will be different and known only to your carriers.
THESE codes are only for GSM .

Hope this helps .

Dear Karandpr, thanks for your help

I have tried every code listed there, but none of them seem to get the same message "Sim card updated" like i got that night when she did it, and besides the code was written after the number not before, like most of these codes.
I have no clue
but thanks again

W/o the prefixes,Global suffixes dont work.
use *# codes to check the status of every service .Maybe you will see her number .

Best thing .Go to your carrier .Replace the SIM card .
Dont go near drunk girls anytime soon.
