Help Froyo sluggish

I see several HTC comments on this ...I after I put FROYO on my defy it just seems soo sluggish and overloaded sometimes..Just deleting spam from my hotmail ...I do 5 at time after about 3 screens its not responsive for a short time..jumping in and out of apps seems sllow if im using multiple apps.. seems to take a second for the digitizer to show my touch movements in a lot of things? I hear factory reset from MOTO, but wouldnt that remove Froyo? Isnt Froyo supposed to have features to SPEED up the phone?

Did you try factory reset?

I had this with eclair, fixed in froyo.

Factory reset doesn't remove Froyo, because when you updated your Defy all the Eclair files were overwritten.

Make sure to back up your data with Titanium or Mybackup (or even better: both) before you do a factory reset.
