Help I suspect my Nexus One has died. Anything else I can try before I go to HTC?

The battery on my Nexus One was low so I had it plugged in to my computer to charge for a few hours whilst the wife and I were watching some TV.

I just went back to the computer to see how far it was charged and my trackball was flashing but there was no power when I tried to wake the phone using the sleep/wake button. I unplugged it from the computer and tried to wake it again with no luck. I held the power button down to power cycle it and it shut off but after that I couldn't power it on again.

I thought I'd try it in the wall charger and same thing. When it's plugged in to the wall there is nothing. No charging lights and no power. :(

Before I phone HTC is there anything else I could try that I may have overlooked?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Here is an update on how things went.

Monday: Phoned HTC on Monday and they arranged UPS to collect my handset.
Tuesday: UPS collected my phone.
Wednesday: UPS delivered it to HTC.
Thursday: HTC emailed to say my phone was going to be delivered Friday.
Friday: Phone returned at 10AM.

Very pleased with HTC Support! :D

I did get a diferent handset as the IMEI and Serial are different. The old one had a spec of dust under the screen and this one seems dust free! :D

The number I used was 0845 8900079, the UK support line. I've posted more detail on my site here: The Nexus One Returns: A HTC Support story. - ChazClout

I don't know if the quality of support varies in each region but the guy seemed really helpful. It's a shame they can't all operate at the same level I got as there seem to have been some real horror stories. :(

Chaz, that's really good to know.. Sorry that your first one died, but that the HTC over here in the UK is pretty good.
I'm about to order my Nexus one, and doing some digging, found that the UK support centre is about five mins drive from my work.. Now why can't I go there and just buy the phone from them instead of the US ordering rigmarole :D
