Actual specs -vs- Bionic??

I'm surprised that nobody even suspects that Vigor is gonna be a tablet vs a smartphone. Something very similar to HTC Puccini that is due to come out on AT&T...
I strongly doubt that there will be 720p screen on a sub 5" device.

Except that they labeled it as a replacement to the thunderbolt.
That could be in error as well.
What surprises me is that this device is supposed to be out at the end of next month and the only thing we have seen is a few images taken by this device and a leaked document telling us it's replacing the thunderbolt.

I think it's time for more leaks :D

For those who have owned a HTC phone, what are you opinions on build quality and useability of their phones? Do they hold up well?? Well built? Any common issues, problems know about their phones? I'm waiting for something to hit, whether it's the Bionic, the SGS2 or this. I really like Samsungs top quality screen. How are HTC's screens?? It kinda makes no sense to jump on the Bionic right out the door when there are other top phones coming out a month later. So guess I'm stuck with my little buddy Droid for awhile longer....

I had an HTC XV6800 (Windows Mobile Phone), and, unlike most phones I've owned, it worked flawlessly until I was ready to retire it (after about 3 years of use). HTC's quality was the reason I waited for what felt like forever for the Droid Incredible to come out, rather than getting one of the Motorola droids. I have no case or screen cover on my Incredible. I got it when it was released last April and in that time it's gotten only a tiny scratch on the screen that I have to hold just so in just the right light to see. It is kind of difficult to see the screen in bright outdoor light, but I think that's pretty common. I really like the Sense GUI, and despite the amount of plastic in the case, I think it feels solid and well balanced. The one complaint I had with the Incredible was that accessories seemed slow in coming out - I gave up looking for a car mount that would charge it when the phone was slid into place, like my husband could get for his Droid 2. Now I'll face a difficult decision - to hang on to the Incredible until 4G coverage reaches our rural area and then get the latest and greatest Verizon phone, or get the Vigor when it comes out - but either way, I'll be going with an HTC - I really think they're that good.

I've had the DI since launch date...overall I have really enjoyed the phone but am lusting for something new. My DI doesn't seem quite as stable in 2011 as it was in 2010, which may be due to having tons of apps on it now compared to last year. I really hate the 3.8" screen nowadays, and have tons of problems with the keyboard and it autocorrecting my typing too much. It could be just me, but I'm looking forward to larger keys on a 4.3" screen. I really do like Sense and like it over any other skin. Would prefer an AMOLED screen like I have now, but can live without it. I think the build quality was fine and haven't any issues related to this topic: no scratches with no screen protector and have dropped it plenty of times with no damage. Battery life was pretty weak and bought an extended battery soon after buying it. The one design flaw it had was the earpiece grille. Early on, when you would put it in your pocket, the grille tended to act like a cheese grater and would shave the lent off the inside of my pockets and ended up underneath the screen in top left corner. It never really bothered me overall, because you can't see it unless the screen is off and you have an external light source shining on the screen to show it. Otherwise, you don't notice it using the phone.

I'm not waiting on the Samsung GSII...my next phone is either the Bionic or Vigor. I wait on the Vigor to see what it has to offer and then make my choice.

bionic is already pathetic compared to the vigor, if you can, wait for the vigor, skip the bionic.

the vigor is not a tablet so dont worry about that

The Vigor is already pathetic compared to the Prime, if you can, wait for the Prime, skip the Vigor.

You can't play the waiting game forever, you'll never get a phone.

But yes, the Vigor is most definitely not a tablet.

The ____ is already pathetic compared to the ____, if you can, wait for the ____, skip the ___.

It's universal!

i wouldnt say it's pathetic compared to the prime, similar specs actually.

plus they are coming out around the same time supposedly, so there really isn't a waiting game between those two.

but yeah i agree you cant keep waiting for the next best thing. I think if you go with either one (prime or vigor) you will have a flagship phone and be happy with it.

Maybe I should have read this whole thread, but I, like others, am almost ready to pour out my kool-aid waiting for the Bionic. Motorola seems too much like Valve with their release dates and it's getting a tad bit annoying waiting again and again for this mystery phone (but I'm still excited, don't get me wrong!).

Anyway, random question for you Vigor-knowing folks: does this have HDMI out? To me, that's a big deal (reason I like the Bionic mostly) as I would use it quite often.

Thanks! :) A faster processor and HTC Sense + ISC leaves me wanting to know more already haha!

Valve time... the horror...

I'm hoping for some reverse Valve time, the 18th is speculated as a release (for something anyway).
