Root Frozen pink/magenta screen

Ok I have a big problem..I was updating my Ascend so I can have 2.2 (froyo) and while it was on step 2 (out of 2) the screen turns into this magenta or pink color..and its still like that..I've tried battery pulls,the hold volume,send,and power button thingy but nothing works..can anyone help me..please I'm desperate,my phone means alot to me..thanks in advance..

The dreaded pink screen. I'm not sure anyone knows exactly how to fix it. I think most people luck their way out of it. Can you boot into recovery mode? Take out the battery, go get something to drink or something, keep it out for a good minute. Put it back in, hold the volume up button and the call button, then press and release the power button, not letting the other 2 buttons go until you see the recovery screen. What happens when you try that?

If I'm not mistaken I believe I read in the forums somewhere that eventually you may be able to get into recover.. like 5% chance.. Just keep trying to get into recovery mode like scur said..

These phones come with a one year warranty, so try to get it replaced for free. If they give you a hard time, go to a corporate store. If they still won't replace it, complain to corporate headquarters and Huawei. If you are persistent enough and don't blow a gasket on them, you should be able to get a new one out of them just to get you out of their hair. (it'll probably be a refurb though)
