Anyone using Better Keyboard?

Is anyone else using better keyboard? I just downloaded it a few minutes ago, and it seems to work brilliantly, I'm using the dark grey skin, and using the regular QWERTY both landscape and portrait. I tried using T9 in portrait, because I used to be able to type extremely fast on that thing, but I guess I'm too far removed from that format now... Anyways, has anyone been using it a while now that can shed some light on things that may not work so well before my refund period expires? haha.

Hmm I'll have to look at that one too, any one having trouble with better keyboard remembering words? I tried to convince it to remember some choice obscenities that I use too frequently, and even after i long pressed the word in the autocorrect area right above the keyboard till it said saved, AND downloaded the user dictionary and added them there, it still wouldn't use them, even though I read soemwhere that it would use user dictionary words first...

Edit: It won't even recognize let alone remember Haha Thats my most commonly used phase :p

I'm pretty sure the motorola droid comes with 2.0.

Right, and thats why he said smart keyboard has multi-touch, and why it won't on my phone, the Eris, I guess my post was a bit on the wordy/confusing side, but this is the Droid Eris forum haha

Also, after using ATK to kill better keyboard, it seems to have started to remember all my words, so... Yay?

Hope you don't mine my posting a question that is not betterykeyboard-specific; what made you move away from the stock keyboard in the Eris to begin with?

I don't mind, thats a good question! Haha! Honestly, it was the added customization and the fact that if it wasn't that much better, I could return it within 24 hours. I also wanted to see how well the T9 worked, but in the end, I find the normal portrait QWERTY to be easier to use at this point, and I found the better keyboard to be slightly more accurate than the stock keyboard.

Thanks, Hazeof3DD.

Jbdan, you guys are talking about the swype, I just watched a video of its use and it looks quite fascinating. And fast!

I'm not so sure I need that, though; the stock keyboard in the Eris, on its side (landscape mode) really works very well for me and I don't need to go real fast anyway.

I got used to the keyboard in the Samsung Instinct, which resembles the Eris keyboard a bit. So I was ready by the time I got my Eris.

Since swype is free I thought I'd give it a whirl....glad I did....it's fast & fun!
