This thread serves to keep all the radios, recoveries and hboot's in one place for people who may need them or just want quick access to them.

Scotty and I will be updating this over the course of the weekend.

If you think this thread's a good idea the thanks button is available :)

Cheers!

Just an FYI, every ROM available right now is compatible with the MR2 radio and up. The MR1 is what the TB shipped with and is no longer supported outside of running dated Froyo

sorry for the inconveniences,guys... i will try and get mirrors for all these, starting with the ones that wupload is not available. it may take me a few days,so bear with me. if you need a specific one post at the end of the thread, and ill move it to the top of the priority list -scotty

Radios

Rename these to PG05IMG.zip (if they aren't named that already), place on the root (not in a folder) of your SD, check MD5 and make sure they are an EXACT match and then flash in HBOOT

HBOOT's

the following are for the most part, intended for return to stock purposes,or other advanced uses.

giving proper credit, the original thread for shadowmites permanent patch hboot is here on xda. if you havent flashed it yet,you should. ive included it here for a download mirror.

each of these .zips contains a "readme" text file that contains the md5 of the PG05IMG inside. to flash in hboot, move the inside PG05IMG to the root of your sd card and rename it "PG05IMG" and boot to hboot to flash. the original root eng s-off bootloader will let you flash any of these,so dont do it without reason, and knowing what youre doing.

if you need the image to flash in fastboot(to replace the permanent patch hboot) simply extract the image contained within. i will eventually get md5s for the image themselves, and for the .zip downloads. for now just double check the inside file with the provided md5 before using the image,or flashing in hboot.

and a word of warning:
DO NOT mess with your bootloader without good reason. without it,no software will load(read:your phone will be a paperweight). flash the wrong one with the wrong firmware, and you may end up with a SECURITY WARNING and recovery may be difficult.

so please, seek advice if you need to change one for whatever reason and are confused or unsure of what to do.

and now,on to the downloads :)

shadowmites permanent patched hboot(same thing that is included in the revolutionary root method). flash it if you havent.

Hi,
I was looking for this thread to get the previous gb radio and i think it would help others if it was a sticky :)
Great to have all the info here in this thread!

Thanks,
Bryan

I agree, but the powers that be did not want it to be a sticky. I have the link in the TB Root/Unroot Guide sticky if you ever need to find it again quickly.

I just just rooted and installed CM7 on a friends phone. Everything went well other than not being able to send or recieve phone calls (shuts off everytime). I figured it was a radio problem so I downloaded the above links and flashed...Everytime is says installation aborted. Any help would be appreciated.

You're going to have to be more specific. Which radio did you download? Did you check the md5 sum? Did you make sure if was named properly?

Rename these to PG05IMG.zip (if they aren't named that already), place on the root (not in a folder) of your SD, check MD5 and make sure they are an EXACT match and then flash in HBOOT

MD5's thanks to Scotty and Yeahha. I refuse to d/l a MD5 generator on my PC :D

I downloaded the last one that says Official Gingerbread Release OTA. I'm not sure how to check the md5 sum.

Two ways to do it..

1) Download an MD5 sum checker on your computer. (just google it and you will find one)
2) Transfer the downloaded file to your Tbolt and download an app called AFV (Android File Verifier, I believe thats what it stands for lol)

Your done :)

You don't need to check the md5 twice. Download the radio and check it on your phone before flashing.

Ok, use the instructions jivens posted and check the md5 against this MD5 - b1e10920c1f191561fd05f1e9c445482

if it matches then the file isn't corrupted and it was likely just a bad flash. Try flashing it again and, may sound stupid, but make sure that the battery cover is on or you won't have any signal :p

I keep trying and it keeps saying "installation aborted"... the md5 matched

Yes, Scotty is correct. To get to hboot power the phone off then hold volume down and power. A white screen will pop up, the radio named PG05IMG.zip will be read by the bootloader and you'll press volume up to accept the download. DO NOT POWER THE PHONE OFF WHILE IT'S UPDATING! Set the phone down and let it do it's think. When it's finished updating it will ask you to press the power button to reboot

i always check it twice. i check it on my PC(no point in transfering to phone if its allready bad) and then i check it on my phone with AFV.

maybe seems overkill or paranoid, but better safe than sorry ;)

if youre only going to do 1 check, make sure youre doing the phone check,as it *could* get goofed up during the trasnfer
