Ill make this quick:

- Updates are never installed.
- All cache and data on apps (including browser) is cleared daily
- All email is deleted
- Photos/video and wallpaper are stored on SD
- No apps have been installed
- All apps that can be have been moved to SD
- No additional contacts have been added

For the past month or so, I went from 55% available to 33%. What am I missing here?

Cheers.

- All apps that can be have been moved to SD
The entire app is not moved to the uSD. If you open the settings for the app while it is on the card you will see the file size, this isn't the size of the entire app. This is the size of the portion of the app on the card. Move it to the phone and this will increase in size, sometimes only a little sometimes considerably.

Take for example, OliveOffice Premium. It is on my card as 4.17mb, not bad. Move it back to the phone however and it is 7.87mb. That doesn't mean it takes up an additional 3.7mb when it is on the phone, it means that when it is on the card the 3.7mb is on the phone.

If you are rooted there is a link in my signature that will help you with this problem.

Interesting....

Using app2SD, Sky map was 468kb on SD, 2.54MB on phone. So a good portion is still on the phone....Im learning.

I cleared data/cache manually from apps earlier today. Opened app2SD and it asked if I wanted to clear data/cache (I think...I hit yes quickly) and I got +10%. To be honest, I have never opened app2SD after initial install. I will have to delve into the app more.

Although not exactly through what you said, I got back a nice chunk of mem. regardless. Kippis!

Not yet rooted - still working on understanding what I read on a tech level. 2.2.1 is what I am running.

actually when you go to manage applications it shows you what is on the phone not the SD card

I'm confused (which doesn't take much lol). When I go to Settings, Applications, and tap on Manage Applications there are 4 tabs at the top. Downloaded, Running, All, and On SD Card.

What apps are showing on the SD Card tab if not the apps I've moved to the SD card?

Am I misunderstanding? I bet I am lol.

i refer to the file sizes... when you use the on sd card tab it shows the apps moved to SD card but it will only show the space each app takes on the phone's internal storage

the difference made when moving to SD can be small or huge... good example of huge difference is Plants Vs Zombies 75MB before moving ~700KB after... the rest of that massive app is moved to the .android_secure folder on the SD card
