Who has an official 2.3.4 firmware update via Kies?

I got my S2 yesterday simfree i am using an O2 sim, It came with v2.3.3 , I did an update search on the phone and it said there was one, YES , I thought 2.3.4 , but after a full flash update my phone was still on 2.3.3 , maybe it was an O2 update :(

Same here O2 contract phone, unbranded/unlocked, just checked no update as yet, one thing I will say.....just had my S2 replaced (won't bore you with the details) but with the first S2 there was an update ready on Kies, straight out of the box, but with my new one, its up to date already out of the box, maybe a new batch of them have been released or something.

hey guys, i have a SGSi9003 (rooted).. still in the firmware 2.2, i'm from the Philippines. the Skies I installed via the original cd inside the box as i bought it. i tried to upgrade my firmware via kies, but didn't work.. no updates were available. then i tried via my phone, through settings and firmware updates, it didn't push through. is there any 2.3 firmware available for my SGSi9003 here in the Philippines? i don't wanna try Odin, I might brick my phone.

Thanks! :)

On a contract with ThreeUK:

Kies shows;

PDA: KF4
PHONE: KF2
CSC: KF1 (H3G)

*#1234# shows the same. (minus the H3G)

Still 2.3.3, but waiting patiently. :)

Quick question. How do you determine what the PDA, PHONE and CSC are? Is it in the settings sectiosn and if so what info is related to what? Eg is the 'baseband version' in phone settings the PDA, PHONE or CSC?

EDIT: DOH, just read your comment again and saw you found out that info from Kies.

EDIT 2: Just hooked up my phone and started kies but can't find the info that you found. Where is it in kies?

When the phone is connected, you'll see "Firmware Information" on the Basic Information page.

Under that, you'll see;

"Current firmware version: PDA:? / PHONE:? / CSC:?"

But you can also find out on the phone itself by going into the dialer like you normally would for a call, and entering: *#1234#.
A different page comes up with;

PDA: I9100 ?
PHONE: I9100 ?
CSC: I9100 ?

Cheers mate. Found mine:

PDA KF3
PHONE: KE7
CSC KD1

I'm also with threeUK but I paid via buymobilephones.net. Wonder when they're going to pull their finger out an give us 2.3.4!

Just stumbled across this thread. I am on Three (H3G) contract.

Went to Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check for Updates

I then had to register with Samsung (email and password, took 1 minute) and an update was available. Downloaded over Wi-Fi in about 30 seconds. Just installing now.

What is in the update?

Lettuce
