I don't think I will be getting it but I'm excited to take a look at it.

What are we up to, three now?

If I recall correctly, GT-I9220 was in the leaked samsung roadmap list a few weeks ago. It has 1.4Ghz dual core, 4.3" HD display but without LTE. So I think it may end up being non LTE Nexus Prime for other carriers like AT&T, T-mobile while GT-I9250 is CDMA/LTE one for Verizon. Or it may be another unknown super-phone from Sammy. Hopefully they will give us some clue at IFA Berlin.

Exactly. It's just a way of saying "This is the Verizon variant, that's the Sprint variant", etc.

Unfortunately, if each carrier will get their own variant, that probably means it's going to be bloated up the wazoo. But I really don't care.

Best case scenario, Samsung follows its own new-found tradition and sends a Prime to the CyanogenMod team and we get root within a few days of release.

I love it that Sammy's so friendly with the devs! I hate to say it, but I hope their Bada OS fails miserably and they just end up sticking to Android.

That might be how you spell it if you are one of those weird French that live on the Eastern side of the country, not here out west. And hey we've had internet for as long as I can remember, just its been slow as crap until recently haha. And before you ask I don't live in an Igloo.

Didn't know any Canadian would see my post. I was just trying to say I thought Verizon was so dumb to not even get LTE SGS2 (Celox) that's announced recently. Apparently they are not if this Prime is what they are getting.

Im pissed my carrier Telus didn't get the SGS2 either but the carrier Bell who uses the exact same towers did. But then I found out Telus is getting the Hercules which is the SGS2 under a different name from the sounds of it.

Now I just really want to try and dig and find out if I should get the Samsung Hercules or if the Prime will be released on Telus. Someone told me it would but I haven't found any articles or talk confirming it and I really want to get rid of my old BB Storm.

Yea same one as tmobile is getting. Anything is an upgrade over my current BB haha. Yea I will see when the hercules comes out if there's any update on prime coming up here. Someone mentioned it to me it may come so that's why I was wondering.

I look forward to the day that this beautiful handset comes to my front door. The time is almost here when I finally get to own a true Google phone. I've waited for what seems like years for this time to come.

I haven't been this excited for a phone since news broke about the Motorola Droid. The Prime will EASILY last me 2 years. I'm sitting right here until it arrives. In my opinion there is nothing like owning a Nexus..It's going to be a fine piece of hardware.

Dude I'm going to be here no matter what. This will be my next purchase for sure. This is EVERYTHING I want in a handset. Specs will be there so I'm not even concerned about something "better" coming out. Nothing beats a Nexus plain and simple they are simply the finest android phones ever developed...well in my humble opinion

Cory's Streater is the worst mod I have EVER come across in all my years on forums. I don't ever have anything bad to say about people but that guy doesn't have all the dots on his dice. I swear to god, during evolution his ancestors were in the control group.

It's so easy to want to jump to the Bionic because it's relatively beast compared to current VZW phones, but then I will be left wanting for more when the prime comes out. Now, I may be wrong about this, but I think that phones are reaching that point in which speed increases from model to model will slow down in favor of better battery life. I'm not saying that the Nexus will be the last speed increase, but I'm just saying that people can be relatively pleased with their phone speed and features for quite some time rather than wanting the next fastest thing within six months.

True: do we really NEED quad-core 2GHz phones? I mean, it's a PHONE! In fact, dual-core 1.5GHz is pushing it as far as need goes... once you get to real time processing, there's really no reason to go any faster. But some people will buy the quad-cores just to say they have it, even though it'll take a monster 2500MaH battery to run it. And a BIG chassis to put it in. I'd much prefer the Galaxy Skin. IF it ever comes out

I was banned for giving people the heads up in the Bionic thread to check out the D3 and its gps issue since they will both run the same gps/ti omap package. It was called trolling. I swear to god that's a true story LOL

We do have a great forum, here. I'll give you the inside scoop on moderator stuff. We are very hesitant to ban anyone, which is why we have a point system. We try to warn people, over and over and over and over. In order to get yourself banned here, you have to do something really bad or you have to be an out and out spammer or spam bot.
