i was wondering since best buy has such good deals on the HP Touchpad could it be ported to Android.
I just got one for $115 after tax and shipping. I think that since it is selling out at this price, there will be a large demand for the Android port.
I see it in the near future
been looking for touchpad everywhere/ no luck
where did u purchase your tablet (online/retail store)
I luckily just found this site HP TouchPad Web OS 3.0 Tablet 16GB and ordered one for $135.90 (it is marked up a little bit, but you can't ask for much more when getting a last minute deal)
online a best buy.com
One big question is how's watching movies and surfing the net on the TouchPad? As there's not much apps...this would be the primary usage of the TouchPad. If any of you have used another tablet...please compare.
I wonder what this means to warranty if HP is closing down their WebOS department.
Damn...my friends got back to me. I am 3rd and 6th on their list!

You can for like $240/$280. Not really a price I would pay for one.
If I see one on sale again, I'll probably snatch one up just to give as a Christmas gift, but maybe not. I showed mine to my brother and he absolutely hated it. He said that he wants to see a shortcut to every single one of his apps right there on his desktop just by default. I asked why he needs to see all of that if you're not interacting with those apps. Doesn't it make more sense to see just the apps you're actively using and you can switch back and forth between them? That was my argument. I don't need to see all the apps I'm not using. He claimed the entire design of WebOS was a huge fail. I don't think he'd appreciate a TouchPad as gift.
He's actually got an HTC Sensation that he somehow managed to buy for $100 without a data plan and without a contract. No clue how he pulled it off. He just looked at it and was like, "No widgets?? And I can't see every single app I have installed right from the home screen?? WTF???? Fail!!!"
