Help how can i get rid of the moment!!

hello there. i just wanted to know if anyone has tried getting a phone swapped by sprint. i keep having problems with the phone and CS just keeps sending me new ones. its nice because i have a shinny buggy phone but buggy non the less.if they keep sending them ill keep using them. apparently i get a 2gig sd charger and usb for my troubles.

p.s. CSR did not even mention anything about a update. i'm amazed!

If you have a spending limit on your acct you are going to start getting charged a 4.99 fee every month for not having electronic payment. This constitutes a material change to your contract and you can get out of your contract w/ no early termination charge. Call cust serv and tell them you want to cancel and because of the new terms you know you don't have an early termination fee. They'll ask why and tell them it's because of a bad phone. They'll tell you they are making notes in the system and to go to corp store and ask for a new phone....

This is how I got away from the pre after having it for 4 months. I had to call around to a few corp stores before I found a manager that would do it.

Good luck

I'm planning on selling my Moment on ebay, they are getting abut $300 used, and then buying a new BB Curve 8530 from ebay, they are going for about $200. ;)

I looked up the 8530 on Ebay last week and I'm surprised at how low they are going for. It's a pretty good model. I had the Tour and I'd take the 8530 over the Tour any day simply because it has Wifi and no trackball.

Well the tour is a world phone so it's got a specific target audience and hence is more expensive. If you're primarily in NA the Curve fits the bill nicely.

Exact reason I don't want the Tour, I don't need a world phone. And the 8530 is a little smaller. Can't wait! Anyway OP, my point was you can always sell you Moment on ebay and get something else. I usually have a new phone every 3-6 months or so. ;)

and that's why I always keep the box, all lit, cables and accessories. Try not to use any of the cables and accessories so they appear new. You'd be surprised how it helps the selling price. That and keeping the phone in good condition.

Lol, you sound just like me! And I always put a screen saver and case on my phones right out of the box too. Also helps to say "like new"! ;)

yeah, I have a hairline scratch on my Treo Pro that I'm quite peeved about because the rest is pristine. But I should still get a nice penny for it when I sell it. I'm a big fan of the seidio innocases because they are so thin and kept the bodies perfect. I have the Pixi now and the curved battery cover is the entire phone except the face so replacing them are easy if it gets damaged. So a screen protector is all I need for it.

I can't tell you how MAD I am! I got the notice about the $4.99 a month charge and called Sprint and asked them if I could cancel my account and how much would it cost me to cancel.. they talked their way around it and ended up renewing my contract! ugggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a moment, and I am not loving it. I mean it's not terrible, but I am so tired of the touch screen being enabled while in a phone call. it randomly calls other people while I am in the middle of a phone call... ugh off to rant in a different thread.
