NOTE: I have flashed my flytouch3 many times with the various firmware that is out there. Using SD Formatter has worked every time with different SD Cards, makes and sizes.

1. Install SD Formatter on your pc.

2. Insert SD card into pc and format with SD Formatter.

3. Download firmware and save to pc.

4. Open downloaded file (zip or rar) with

WinRar = WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

or:

WInZip = winzip - CNET

5. Copy files onto your formatted SD Card, (Make sure file size is same on SD Card as on PC.)

6. Place SD Card into flytouch3 (Make sure Flytouch 3 is connected to power cord).

7. Boot up Flytouch 3.

Presumably only of any use on devices equiped with an sdhc reader, as older standard sd readers only support sd cards upto 2gb.

To read 4gb+ cards, you need sdhc.

Did you try this software using older standard sd reader? I have had an sdhc reader for many years now. My standard reader became obsolete with sdcards now ranging up to 64+.

I have followed all the steps for installing updated firmware on my Android Superpad Flytouch 3 Disco, to no avail. I have formatted the SD card on my PD, downloaded the firmware, unzipped it, transferred it to the blank SD card, put it in the tablet, turned the tablet on, and when I go to the files via My Pad, and look under the SD card, the files are there, but cannot be opened. I am just about at my witts end - have been trying everything I can think of for the past week with this. I am beginning to feel hopeless. Can anyone help??

The firmware upgrade is done automatically.
The tablet should/might buzz.
Press the reset button under the bottom of the tablet.
Remove the sd card.
Restart the tablet.
Done.
