Best notepad app for android?

Was surprised to see Android doesn't have a built in notepad app on my evo3d. Anyone have any suggestions for a good basic one? Just want something I can type in notes, addresses, information, etc on the fly. There is a ton on the marketplace, figured id just ask here instead of spending a lot of time going through downloading, installing and trying all the ones on there.

Came from a blackberry curve and that had a very easy built in notepad called memo pad. Looking for something with that same basic functionality.

I've tried a ton of them and have stuck with Evernote. Search ability is great, and I can access them on my PC.

Everything from a quick phone number to my filing cabinet (have gone paperless) resides in there, and it now has Skitch which lets you handwrite (or finger-write) a note.

For full notes, Ever Note.

I use Color Notes, which are small post-it type notes for Phone numbers , Checklists, pass words etc.... You can also pin a post-it widget reminder to your homescreen or set a time/alarm. It's excellent for my usage.

Evernote.

Similar, but different, for something in a hurry that will leave a reminder for myself, I tap the Google Voice Search app, say "note to self", then speak whatever it is I want to remember. This will send an email to me with my speech transcribed into text, plus an audio file of what I said (in case the speech-to-text is fubar'd).

Evernote/SpringPad. Either or. I use both though. SpringPad for random notes, movie lists etc. I use evernote more for the important notes.

I use Colornote as well and love it. Easy to use and can back up to SD card. (In case you have to reset or buy a new phone.) Love the password protection and widget functions the best. I use this for all my note taking, rather it be Bible Study or at a teacher's conference for the kids. I e-mail the notes to myself to store in my g-mail acct. (Saves paper.)

Evernote if you use Outlook and want easy integration with it. Springpad if you need it for social uses. I love Evernote and sprang for the paid version so that I could have offline access to notes I typed in from other clients as well as be able to attach any file format.

It's a note-taking app which stores the apps in a SimpleNote account, see also Simplenote. An easy way to keep notes, lists, ideas, and more.

You can access your notes on your PC or your Mac with a dedicated app, or else just use the web app.

Use Color Note. Its not exactly a "bar", and is a bit smaller than the Google search bar (its 1x1) but can do what you need. Basically you put a widget of the particular note and it looks like one of those post-it things you stick on walls. Its big enough to accomodate some text, and when you press it, it opens the full note.

I've been using tab notes. It's one where you actually write/draw on the screen and can make multiple notebooks. It's designed for a tablet but I love it on my fascinate!

I'm trying Classic Notes Lite + App Box | AppBrain Android Market Seems to do everything "Note Everything" does (including check lists that you need to pay for with NE). It has a lot of nice "reference" gadgets. Font is goofy, but you can change it.

On other note apps, if you long press an entry, you get a "share" option. SpringPad and Evernote are always on that list in my case.

I've been using Evernote, since it had pretty much a whole lot of stuff I like/need. The thing is, that since a couple of updates ago, it keeps bugging me with the fact that I have "Insufficient SD card space" when synching with the site.

It seems that it needs 100 MiB of free space on your SD card to be able to sync, even if you have a single note with a single text line; my SD card is pretty full as it is and since I use the app for text notes only, it making me empty my other, more important, content just for it to sync seems overly ridiculous.

You know what's the worst thing? While I won't be buying a bigger SD just for one app, I have yet to find a similar substitute, at least on the sync and multiplatform front; I'm trying Flicknote (and it's Simplenote sync), but it sure is way simpler than what I had before.

SpringPad is actually the best alternative to Evernote.
