Hello Ladies and Gents!!!

Really frustrated here =(

I just got a Droid Pro replacement and I am having some serious issues with syncing Facebook contacts to the phone. I am not a newb and I've done plenty of troubleshooting. When adding Facebook to Accounts, there is no option to Sync anything unlike other email accounts. Under the Facebook app settings, there is also no option to Sync. When signing in to the Facebook app, it doesn't ask me if I want to Sync anything. I've added\removed the app, account, and vice-versa. I've read a number of forums and so far, nothing!

Its really frustrating because I have a lot of clients that contact me through Facebook and if I can't get them added to my contacts on the phone, well then the whole phone is useless.

(I don't need to sync the photos as some posts have suggested)

I also know there is an issue with Google disabling this feature. May be because they want people to use Google+ or something somehow on my previous Droid Pro, the contacts synced. Its been about 5 months so I don't remember how I did it but I had the same problem. I don't remember if it was the Facebook app where I had to enable the Sync or if it did it on its own eventually, but it work. Now its not working. Please help!

Thank you in advance

It is unfortunately not on mine.
When I tap Facebook, it just shows my name and password and the option to remove the account altogether.

This is under the Accounts & sync option in system settings (from home screen menu>settings>Accounts & sync)? Not in the Facebook app.

I also just checked the Facebook app, from the main page if I go to menu>settings and scroll to the bottom, it give me the option to sync contacts there, too.

chanchan05, where do you see the facebook sync? I go into menu>settings>accounts and the Corp accounts has sync, Gmail has Sync, but when I go into Facebook, its just my email, password and the option to remove the account. I do have the app installed as well. I've also tried removing\adding and doing all that in all kinds of different orders =(

That's sad that you have to deal with that. Given your posts, I would not question your skills or your efforts to find the problem and done nothing stupid. I wish I could help, good luck tho'

FelyaSoCal:
I just had the same problem with the Droid Pro. Here was my solution:
In <Accounts, there are 2 Facebook login options. One of them is for your email/password, but the other one is for syncing. Make sure the description for the FB login says "login." If you click there it will let you sync your contacts.

Best of luck!
