Info & Pics on the Rhyme

Not that being pink and sparkly is negative but GEEZUS could it at least have some respectable specs???????

Way to totally miss the female android demographic, HTC.

Totally agree with you on this. I'm thinking about upgrading to Rhyme from my Eris, but would it have killed them to put 4G on it? If I'm going to pay for 4G, it would be nice if my phone were capable of using it. And, yeah, kind of disappointing specs in general, considering some of the other phones coming out. Just because I like pink and purple doesn't mean I don't want my phone to have some power.

I watched the Rhyme commercial this week during (was it Big Bang or Modern Family? Can't remember) and my husband said "I just assume that if a company is trying to market only to women, they have dumbed down the product, because tech companies consistently underestimate women". Same with car manufacturers - for my new car last year I researched engine specs but all the dealer wanted to talk to me about was cup holders in the back seat.

(so can I have a Nexus Prime with a sparkly charm?)

I just received the Rhyme via FedEx. I am going to take it up to my wife in about 3 hours and swap her phones out. I have only turned it on, I havent gotten past the activation screen yet since she needs her phone until I get there. It booted up in about 10 seconds. It's heavier than my Incredible.

Pretty strange that there is no charging port anywhere on the phone. The only way to charge it is putting it in its cradle. There are 3 contact points on the back of the phone that touch 3 points on the dock and that's how it charges. So I have to figure out how it is possibly going to charge in the car.....

It feels much more solid than my Incredible. As soon as I get it set up I will post about the VZ Nav/Google Nav question - though I dont know why you wouldnt be able to use Google Nav.

Well, i am afraid it might have bing, or VZ Nav as only options because the description says exclusive Verizon htc Sense
