Since friday morning I've got 2 horizontal black lines across the screen. They are always there, even while booting. It looks like a hardware problem with the screen.

They appeared after a long night of charging, and have been there ever since. I haven't dropped it and it didn't become wet or anything. Nothing special happened to it, just normal usage.

I rebooted it multiple times and got the battery out while the phone was still on. No results.

I can't seem to update the system, when I go to
settings > About phone > System update > Check now
it checks but then I gives an error:
This software version does not support OTA update.

Any suggestions?

Yep. I think computer universe are a reputable company and you should have no problem with getting a replacement.

Viewsonic has anounced new Android dual sim smartphone Viewsonic V430:
ViewSonic V430 steps up to the plate with Froyo and a 4.3" display - coming to Russia first
According to Russian computer's journal iXBT.com (http://www.ixbt.com/news/hard/index.shtml?15/05/80): V430 uses Android 2.2 and has 4,3" WVGA display (800x480), Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz, RAM 512 MB, ROM 512 MB, microSD up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and two cameras.

It's strange for me that both anounced smartphones are absent on the Philips's and Viewsonic's oficial sites.

I'm glad you've had a good experience with Expansys. I haven't. I refused delivery and so far Expansys has ignored Fedex's request to get info on how they want it shipped back. 12 days after I refused, it is still sitting at my local Fedex depot. I tried to point this out to them but they haven't replied. :( Take it back already Expansys!

It's odd that fedex gives expansys a choice in how quickly the package returns. I've never heard of that.

One rare benefit you get with Expansys is the option to pay with credit card. Didn't you use credit card? If so, you can simply call your bank and dispute the charge. You shouldn't care how the phone makes it back to expansys, as long as they do not have your signature proving that the phone was delivered to you. The bank will require them to prove delivery, and they won't have proof, and you'll win the dispute automatically.

I am very interested in buying the Arcturus - Dual SIM Android 2.2 Smartphone but I need to know if the phone allows you to set a different ring tone for each SIM. I plan to use one line for business and the other for personal use. I want to know which line the call is coming in on without looking at the phone. If anyone has this phone I'd really appreciate knowing. Thanks in advance. http://www.simsimgate.com/arcturus-...hone-with-multi-touch-capacitive-touchscreen/

Hello everybody, this is my first post:)
Did you hear about Motorola Spice Key XT317? I saw it on the Motorola's Brasil website. It looks pretty good for me, it supports UMTS, and has real qwerty keyboard! Does enybody knows where can I buy this phone?
I live in Poland, so i could buy Gsmart G1345, but after my bad experience with G1205, I want to buy well-known brand phone...

Motorola xt531 will have dual sim version in 'selected asian countries' soon. The single sim version is already on sale in both India and China and the dual sim version will be out very soon.

It has 800Mhz and Gingerbread. 512 ram and 512 rom. Front and back camera, with back @5mp. 3.5 capacitive screen. it has 1540mah battery.

It will go by many names. eg; spice xt in s.america, Fire xt in Europe/usa and asia and Domino xt531 in China.

Is that the same as the one below or are there going to be two spices?

edit: never mind, found the right one now: http://mediacenter.motorola.com/Fac...-Motorola-FIRE-XT-Motorola-SPICE-XT-3777.aspx
Damn, why did I jump the gun on the V350?

The full specs are here: Motorola SPICE Key XT317 - Full phone specifications

Its a decent phone, it has the same specs as the v350 just unfortunately it has a very small screen and a qwerty keyboard.

The phone has not been released yet so its only showing in some stores on preorder

MOTOROLA SPICE KEY CellCamShop.com - Buy Cameras, Mobile Phone and buy computers, laptops, dvd, videos, games, video games, music, sporting goods, software, electronics, digital cameras, camcorders and dvd players

The V350 has 512MB RAM where are GSMarena mentions that the spice has 256MB. GSMarena might have actually got the specs wrong. It's saying its a 600Mhz Qualcomm 7227-1. That is the turbo so it should be 800Mhz.

Shame about the screen. I like hardware keyboards but this one is not good with such a low resolution.

How much RAM and ROM you have on V350? I think that there would be 512MB ram and 512MB rom.

Still I got error message that internal memory is full even I have not lots of apps installed.

Android system info (https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result) says that max 423MB ram is avaible and only max 157MB rom. So is there something wrong? Only about 20MB rom is avaible in normal use... Is it so that Android rom itselves eats almoust all rom...? Not nice.

What are your max. and free in rom and ram?
