Should i buy a HTC wildfire?

Im looking for a new android phone i currently own an LG optimus gt 540
I dont want to spend a lot of money on a phone and know that the HTC wildfire is quiet cheap atm.

Can you recommend it?? and secondly how is the OS system updated? is it something you can do from the phone or do you have to update by using a pc at home and downloading a program to update which means fiddling about.

Thirdly are they easy to update (OS system wise)

DO NOT BUY A WILDFIRE

Im saying this because i own a Wildfire, at first the phone is quite disappointing, but after it is rooted then there is some potential with the Wildfire.
If HTC gave the Wildfire a 800+MHz processing speed rather than its 528MHz it will be a great phone
It runs on Android 2.2.1 (maximum update version) that means you will NOT get Android 2.3 (gingerbread, newest OS on Android smart phones)

I would advice you to get a phone with 800MHz processing speed minimum if you want a device that you would be able to tolerate without lag or minimal lag
You could get a Samsung Galaxy Ace, they should be cheap and its got a 800MHz processor speed, but check about the phone in depth and also the "sleep of death" thing with it

I am going to root my one this week so I will have a clear picture but without rooting I wouldn't recommend it. Lags, slow, skype doesn't work properly, nor does nimbuzzz, fringe works but still lags are terrible while using it. PDF-s are almost impossible to read because of lags. It is good if you looking for device that will let you read ePUB, surf on internet and listen to music, few other things do work ok, but overall I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks I will certainly use it. Im planning to root it get cyanogen mod and overclock it to 700(ish)

Kool, good luck. Yhh that's a good speed, i tried to overclocking my Wildfire to 768MHz but it kept having bootloops
